actually,. it allowed u.s. industry to take their jobs to mexico and open up sweatshop type operations along the u.s. mexican border undercutting BOTH mexican domestic industry and u.s. labor. it decimated both u.s. & mexican labor. then when the big industry owners found even cheaper labor markets they moved on. NAFTA also allowed u.s. subsidised agricultural imports to mexico driving mexican agriculture out of business. that's why so many mexicans have come here looking for work

It scares me because all the power has gone to the rich and the middle class is disappearing and losing more and more of it's voice politically.
