not always. I know 2nd lieutennants and I've heard of Airmen who are Raptor pilots. There's no restriction as to rank, but you have to be the best of the best no matter what.

Well the other pilots wouldnt even see The Raptor period. First shot first kill, No thx to the An-APG77 radar system, as well as haing the fastest acceleration rate so far for a jet at 80,000lbs on take off. Cool video btw =D =).

I love the F-22. Any one think they can answer this question for me? If a jet is going past the speed of sound would you hear it before it passes?

no if its going faster than the speed of sound the jet is traveling faster than sound, so you would see the jet and then you'll hear the sonic boom about 1- 2 seconds after the jet passes.

Sweet vid. Not many show the gun firing. I love this plane. Anyone who says taht another plane is a match for the 22(ie the f-14) shows that they know nothing about the F-22.
