You had a mate in two early on, after Q-f3 (The space in front of the King Bishop Pawn), And h7 -h5 (the space two in front of the blue rooks pawn.) (This is at 0:44) You could have moved the King Bishop to c4 (the space two in front of red's Queen Bishop) then as long as blue didn't move their Pawns on d7 and 57, you could have done Queen to f7 and checkmate.

Uhm.. that is a special move that can be performed once during a game..

The king moves as close a possible toewrds a tower, and the tower goes to the other side of the king.... read up on the rules dude.. U fail..

I would agree with you - my brother discovered if you go into board setup and setup the board a certain way and put one of the red knights with the blue king the red knight would cut the blue king's robe - leaving nothing underneath :D My brother and I were ROTFLOL when we did that

War Chess looks good, but this one was the first to create chess animated. Also the fighting scenes here were more hilarious and inspiring that War Chess. If War Chess add better fighting scenes I believes that could be a better game.

You've got the Windows version, which was written for Windows 3.0. The game needs to be run in Standard Mode. Unfortunately Standard Mode was removed from Windows about 16-18 years ago. I'm quite surprised the game even runs at all in XP or Vista.

I'm sure what's in the video is the DOS version running in the DOSbox emulator. The sounds heard here would have been coming though the PCs BEEP speaker. NO soundcards in them days.

@aaron75fy - I was referring to the scene in the first book/film where Harry Potter & his friends have to play a chess game with life sized chess pieces that come to life and beat the crap out of each other. It's not as bloody as 'Battle Chess' but the basic principle is the same. Just look on YouTube for 'Harry Potter Chess Scene'. Anyway, I suspect that both were inspired by the original 'chess board battle' from the classic Lewis Caroll book 'Alice in Wonderland'. Cheers.

OMG ... the pink queen get's eaten up from the blue rook when the rook takes her off the chess board. The queen got it coming to her for taking a pawn that was defended by a rook and a real good chess player is more likely not to take a pawn with a queen if the pawn is defended by another piece.
