It made me happy when I found out I could kill Edgar. I set his wife on fire and shot her with my double barrelled shotgun. I then raped her dead body ( tea bagged). I blew his bro up with dynamite then threw a throwing knife in his head. Once I beat Edgar I just wasted every single ounce of ammo I had on me on him. I managed with a near full red eye, to take down six of government agents/soldiers/mecernaries in his final draw, with a mauser gun.

Brilliant ending, in a way its a sort of karma like ending, John Marston paid the ultimate price for his past, he couldn't get away from it, sort of you can run, but you can't hide, not forever anyway. From the start of the story in this game he's sort of on a final mission, to save his family, knowing ulimately he is already damned by his past actions.

the ending was depressing, but it should happen. the government won't let any member of his former gang still lurking and alive. john was fated to die and he already knew it. remember the scene when he give the gun back to ross, it felt like ross is gonna kill john right there but he didnt moved an inch. the government let him go that time so he could spend his final days with his family. such a sad story indeed.

Through this game I was always kind. I always helped strangers, saved people and protected people, delivered bandits to the police. I had full honor and fame, I didn't kill a single civillian. I really didn't think It was fair, there should be this one for when you're a gangster and a happy one when he's a hero. His wife crying and seeing his grave... It's so sad :(
