His name is David Gray. He's an excellent singer/songwriter and if you're curious about some of his music I recommend you listening to his album White Ladder which this song he's playing (Babylon) is on.
i would actually suggest that you listen to A Century Ends, Lost Songs, or Flesh if you want to hear some really good David Gray. White Ladder is okay but too polished for me... that album was made to "sell sell sell" and his older stuff is much better...
