I feel strongly that cannabis is illegal for the purpose of keeping people in the dark about its true potential. Its a super useful plant species. Fiber, pain reliever, food, fuel.
It would also hurt the "vampire" system if it was on the up and up. People would form groups and do something openly healing with it as opposed to a black market where it gets mixed and associated with "dope" and used in an abusive manner. Unleashing official social acceptance would mess up the control for some.

said "Why should I be moral, why should I be just?" It's a good question to ask ourselves--and sometimes it answers itself. Sadly we are controlled in our freedoms, and limited in our possibilities--we can be so much more then what we are now. The only change that matters is within the self.
@suanniiq In due to morality- I think it's a control construct that has little to do with whether something is "good" or "bad" for you. It's control and that is all. When pot is immoral all the way around and they won't allow it for cures- how unethical is that? I don't think that humans should be running around stoned out of their tree all the time. But it seems they don't mind handing out anti depressants and oxycontin all day long. So this is why I question morality.
@IndigoSpirit13 I agree--such constructs are a form of control, understanding morals can be good or bad, however they are not universal, and are extensions of our up bringing. I don't like where we are at when it comes to big pharmaceuticals, and how much control they have in what is "good" or "bad" medicine, when most drugs turns out to have bad side-effects, when we can find other real medicine that are found in nature that works so much better!
Wow -- added sone new effects to your video -- may have to watch it on my computer to read it closer. I know in here in the states, drugs were legal up till the 1930's after Probation really didn't work for us Yanks (we love our drugs damn it)! Marijuana-I cam see it work both ways for the good or bad, but I tend to believe we are free people, and only responsible to ourself. We are told we are free people! Are we? You raised a good point, and made me think of Plato again-- in the Republic he
@Sickofu100 That's sooo strange. I had a kid smoke a joint in my English class at the back and the teacher didn't even notice. We thought it was the funniest thing ever.
Oh and... the real insanity of it to me is that people in high positions can be so flippant about having smoked it and laugh and joke around about it but they don't do anything to make it legal. Does something you can joke about, and see jokes about on tv, movies, radio sound like something that should be not only illegal but schedule I (meaning it's a dangerous drug with no medical value)? Um and several states have it legal for medical reasons... it's beyond absurd, it's insulting.
@Damienf77 Very good points! It is insane, I've also heard of other countries trying to make it illegal to grow your own herbs that we use everyday in the kitchen. What's next, cinnamon?
@IndigoSpirit13 Mankind continues it's futile attempt to control nature. We could easily live in harmony with nature and all share in its bounty, but instead there are people who are billionaires in the world and there are people who live on next to nothing. The planet is bursting with life and could feed every living soul and all it would take is the natural compassion we ALL would have for each other if not for the disease at the top that continues to poison our minds. Sad.
One of the reasons it is, is that people can easily grow it themselves. If you have soil and water, then you have your own medicine that not only cures diseases but alleviates suffering. It contributes to the health and wellbeing of society and promotes creativity. It's not the kind of "drug" that makes you violent or dangerous, it helps you chill out and relax. Pharma/tobacco/alcohol would lose their empire of death and suffering. I could talk about this for pages but i'll stop now.
Hemp could easily replace plastic and is biodegradable. It can be used to make not only insulation but can be formed into particleboard for building houses. It is more durable and breathes easier than cloth and can be made into all types of clothing and rope. The seeds are high in protein and will not get you "high" And the Marijuana with higher thc content can be used for more different types of ailment than any other drug out there. It should have never been made illegal in the first place
And also if marijuana were legal then there'd be the possibility of millions of people being able to receive a lesser expensive, more effective treatment for various illnesses and that would put a pretty big dent in the pHARMaceutical industry as well as the Hospital Revolving Door programs for all those costly chemotherapy treatments.... It's enough to keep even a reasonably healthy person pissed off ALL the time!!! : (

@phemohilia Thank you! Very good points :-) It does make one angry. The fact that alcohol is legal and pot isn't is baffling!
IndigoSpirit13 1 year ago
Because the people with the power to make marijuana legal are BASTARDS! *shakes fist in anger @ the Bastards* : )
