It looks like there are perma thrusters on each canister.

those are welded or parented to the heads, that are welded or parented to the spinning part in the middle.

I tried. It didn't work properly with non-frozen parts. Source's physics just plain suck.

There might yet be a way to do it, though, but I haven't figured it out yet.
