Glenn has had the same thoughts, but toned it down for CNN's and (for a while) FNC's execs. Stakes got higher, he could not tone it down. He said what needed to be said. He asks questions no one would dare ask for fear of making waves. Matthews liked Beck 'cause he was a good little boy and did what he was told, toning it down. Well, no more! Even if the Lefties hate him for it, I believe America is better off having at least one conservative who isn't willing to put his head in the sand.
Beck has a strong understanding of the constitution and history. I find it strange that leftist say he is crazy when most everything he has said is spot on accurate and what he forecasted has came to be.
@baigandine I know my own credentials and conclusions about connection of historic events and people and have found most of what he says to be spot on. Unlike most that criticize him, he doesn't operate with revisionist or no knowledge at all of history. Most don't even know what he is talking about and only criticize and say he is crazy because that's what MSNBC tells them to think about him, God help if anyone actualy studied and knew history, MSNBC would be exposed for what they are.

Any president can make certain changes but at the same time has to keep certain things in place, at least for the time being. Sometimes something can be too hard to change right away or is not in the nation's interests to change right now. Gitmo is a perfect example. I have watched Glenn Beck since he was on Healine News, which is a subsidiary of CNN (yes, CNN devotees, Glenn Beck once worked for CNN). It amuses and saddens me at the fact that when Beck was working for CNN, he was accepted as a "reasonable conservative" by people such as Matthews, but when he moved to Fox News, the same people (such as Matthews) had this attitude of: "Oh, I never liked him that much anyway." Really, Mr. Matthews? You seem awfully chummy with Beck in this vid! :)

Never mind, I'll answer it for ya: the lower rate translates to lower costs for goods and services--in other words, the consumer benefits from it.. Taxes are just another business cost (doesn't matter whether it's on a corporation, an LLC, or a sole proprietorship---let's demistify the word "corporation", kiddies), and the consumer pays any tax hike.

The reason you have to be part of them is so that people don't say "I will work for less" and screw over everyone else by having that happen more and more and more to the point where the people who work in that job are barely making anything and that's only so they can have a job. I have watched Glenn Beck since he was on Healine News, which is a subsidiary of CNN (yes, CNN devotees, Glenn Beck once worked for CNN). It amuses and saddens me at the fact that when Beck was working for CNN, he was accepted as a "reasonable conservative" by people such as Matthews, but when he moved to Fox News, the same people (such as Matthews) had this attitude of: "Oh, I never liked him that much anyway." This is the first time I listened to a Chris Matthews bit without it causing my ears to bleed. Whoa, if I didn't know any better, I would have thought Chris actually had some common sense and actually put on a decent show. 7 years all down hill..... that's just too bad.

Imagine that, Glenn Beck was getting positive recognition when he was on CNN and speaking against Bush or any other Republican, but when he chose to go to Fox and speak bad about Democrats.....and still Republicans, he's now a target of the other media outlets.....including CNN. His views are still the same. He believes in the people before politicians. The non-televised people only hate him because the entertainment industry (Jon Stewart and others) and the media (CNN and others) tell you to.

He manipulates audiences of non-critical thinking pawns and brainwashed suckers and laughs all the way to the bank, millions of times over. He has always proved conservative, but he became far more extreme in order to exploit the right-wing political backlash to Barack Obama and make more money.

I have, and I've watched Matthews too, and I can say unequivocally that of the two of them, Matthews is the one who’s gone to the extreme. Even MSNBC had to address their bias, claiming that somehow the “thrill up my leg” comment didn't matter. Beck, on the other hand, is CONSTANTLY telling his viewers to research ideas, buy books, etc

Therefore a judgment call is required. Beck knows this. The less informed, and the less educated (Like you) are more inclined to believe something that coincides with their ideology. Beck is primarily dishonest because he plays 'guilt by association', a classic strategy employed by conspiracy nuts and propagandists.

@auimike - Beck evolved when we elected a black president and he moved to Fox News. He's way more divisive and dishonest than he was during his days on CNN. He's also changed his tune on several issues since then.
I believe he simply saw a fantastic opportunity to capitalize on the fear and distrust of government heightened by the economic meltdown. He's a real hero to bigots and gullible listeners who fail to fact check his BS.

@joekiddlouischama How can you claim that Beck is misleading people, when most of what he presents was WRITTEN / SPOKEN BY THE PEOPLE THEMSELVES (ie George Soros and Van Jones, etc). You can claim he's misquoting them, taking out of context, etc- but if so then let's hear an alternative explanation- what were they really trying to say? I'm guessing that would take a little more critical thinking than you're capable of, given the oversimplifications & name calling you have resorted to.

I watch Glenn Beck for the INFORMATION, and not the rhetoric, which is all I heard from the other media sources. Most of the other media sources don't give their sources or prove their comments and information. GLENN BECK ***ALWAYS DOES***.
