  • So any uppdate on this?

  • @Lazraxx your either say that because your IQ is lower than your shoe size or you trying to kick of yet another argument...just like others do on subject of diabetes! You, I or the most intelligent person living does NOT know what any human being may accidentally invent or come across in with the next hour, week, month or year...so stop talking CRAP ok pal! The cure for diabetes will come sooner than you think...i say within a few years most likely! So watch this space!

  • media hype !!!!!

  • This was promised by Medtronic in 2004. Where is it? Fact is CBGM odes not work. Maybe in 100 years...

  • The CGM does NOT offer a fool proof solution to finger sticks. You must calibrate the device and test several times a day to confirm accuracy. It's good for trending data but that's about all.

  • I hate to put a downer on this great device, as i know only too well that it could give you perfect control, but isn’t this just a waste of time, money & resources? We need a cure not another expensive device like this! The UK government has just began an £800 million research program in to finding a cure & i personally believe that we are on the brink of finding one! Most of us in the UK use insulin pens, so i doubt we will ever get an opportunity to have one of these things! lol

  • I use this device. This is a continuous blood glucose monitoring system -- measures interstitial fluid... there is a 20-30 minute lag time between that and true blood sugar... Good for measuring trends, but not necessarily reliable for automatically administering insulin. You still have to test your blood sugar.

  • hes gonna be a billionaire:)

  • HOW CAN I BUY THIS DEVICE

  • 5 to 10 years that's easy for u to say

  • i could get this but its pretty expensive

    like$300au /month for the thingys

i only test like 3 times a day

my Hbo1c thingy(or what ever its called) is 8.5% and dropping slowly

and the doctors say that is one of the best in my clinic

and i can go without testing for days and be fine

and when the doctors are like u never test that meant ur levels are going his all the time

and im like not really how come i got the best levels in this place

and i can feel weather my levels are hi or lo

  • @Hayesy15 8.5% is not a good HbA1c level. You should think about going to a different doctor or clinic to get a second opinion and try to improve on that. Just a friendly comment... :)

  • @Pancreum yea i know it aint that good lol

i can keep it good but like sometimes i go through a bad patch where my levels kep going high but thats only for like a week or 2 but them im fine

so then the doctors are like we need to change all the settings on ur insluin pump coz they said that when i changed them my self i did it wrong but thats when my levels were good

now when using their settings my levels are harder to controll coz they didnt know what they are doing

  • @Hayesy15 the only reason i go to the doctors in the first place for my diabetese is just for them to sigh a medical driving form

if i wasnt for that i would just get my HbA1c checked and then just do the rest my self

oh appart from blood tests nd stuff my i just get my gp to do that yearly

  • so when are they gonna cure this shit

  • @dejahthoris Israel Found A Cure Already..

Damn FDA Won't Approve It Cause They Would Lose Money

  • @DesireeandDiabetes my boyfriend used my account and is an idiot so just ignoe him.

  • DIABEETUS

  • i've heard more about an actual cure for type 1 diabetes then i've heard about this

  • @Ditre there is no cure for diabetes ! there is just technology helping us :)

  • @vEtOnTeC wrong, Dr Faustman has already completed the first phase of clinical testing to cure type 1 diabetes, and is now researching the best dosage for patients, using a drug that is already FDA approved

  • wireless cgm, plus pump will set you back 9 grand (AU)

  • @shuard79 and lets not forget our horrendous price for the sensors and lack of insurance coverage due to it not being "necessary"

  • Comment removed

  • And what a stupid question. How much would diabetics love it? Jackass.

  • yeah, im type one :(

  • I am TheGodoia's son and I AM diabetic! Don't say that!

  • The video makes it seem like something like this would be easy to obtain. An artificial pancreas I am sure would be as similar as the pump, cept on your inside. And who would be filling it with insulin? Us of course. I don't see how it would be much different, and would this be covered? Doubtful. Doesn't sound that much more convenient.

  • Artificial pancreas? Wow... You mean like a pump? This isn't news. Diabetes and needles rock!

  • this isn't all that new. i mean they have been studying this thing for at least 15 years.

  • I know they make it sound like you have to do nothing but you still have to too!!

  • OMF! EVERYONE SAYS NO FINGER PRICKS BECAUSE THEY DONT HAVE TO GO THROUGH THE DAMN DISEASE!! YOU STILL HAFTA PRICK YOUR FINGER! IVE USED IT! its accurate, but i still prick my fingers before meals and snacks. i only use the cgm for daily reports. everyone is giving this fake hope. its all dumb. IF YOU DONT HAVE OR ACTUALLY UNDERSTAND THE DISEASE THEN STFU!

  • This video is not about cgm devices, it is an artificial pancreas. They probobly made the blood sugar senser more accureate then normal cgm devices.

  • BlueEyes, Excactly. Constant monitoring of your BG is necessary if you want to maintain ideal control and good numbers.

     Are you Type 1?

  • Im a diabetic and I would like to say that you should stfu its not a damn disease you prick, a disease is spread though people, diabetics cant spread it to other people...thats affensive to me

  • diabetes is a disease. you should do your research!

  • @extremeconviction23 unfortunately diabetes is considered a disease :(

  • 5 - 10 years

Give me a break. Great effort but give me the cure any day over a gizmo pump, clever stuff but more effort towards a cure would be nice.

  • Uhhhhhhh...... It doesnt let you do no finger pricks. It gives you an ESTMATE! I am testing it. You still have to prick your fingers. However, It is still cool.

  • I think you are testing just the cgm system ( continous glucose monitoring) right? Not this "artficial pancreas" with the computer right?

  • No, I am testing the exact same thing -.-
