Actually, it's high time the entire run of "Lassie," or at least the eps. from 1954-64, with "Jeff Miller" (as played by Tommy Rettig) and Provost as "Timmy," is released to DVD.
"Lassie" is one among about a baker's dozen of episodic television series' that ought always be available on home video/DVD for children and families to watch, such a classic it is. I could go on, but it would be way off-topic here.
Roy Campanella appeared as himself (after his accident and in a wheelchair) on an inspirational episode of "Lassie," in the years of the episodes with the titled collie living on the "Martin" farm with "Timmy" (as played by Jon Provost).
I haven't seen that "Lassie" ep. since I was a kid, would be great if someone could upload it here on You Tube.
Roy Campanella is one of my favorite players and heroes just for the kind of guy he was. Such a humble, caring, and kind man. It's so interesting to watch video of him playing, how he'd swing so hard and he'd literally clothesline players when tagging them, youd think he was some sort of brute off the field but in real life he was such a gentle, kind, and caring man. If only there were more like Campy today.

@tefisher1984 Roy Campanella died on June 26, 1993, at the age of 71 years old, and would not have, therefore, lived to see his 87th birthday.

A real gentlemen. Sorely missed. What a difference compared to today's selfish and moronic athletes.

Ironic that he talks about paralysis.

Well, this was before his car accident, when he was still playing baseball when he did this commercial.
