In one part, there's a trail of gasoline you have to light up, in this video, you use it to scare off that stuff. Idk what it is. I don't know much else about the lighter.

you know the navy developed a kind of exploding bullet for rifles and pistols that work like a mini missile i wiss you could just pick them up in this game.

i found th ebit with the black goo really dificult, i used the torch but no matter what i did, i always got swallowed up
