  • @AaronAMVs Or plan old Stefon, Promise of Strees/Skill

  • @KryptoMedia Fuck off, if you don't like the music, don't listen to it, but stop making stupid ass comments. you're not cool.

  • @HardcoreCaliKid cool story bro

  • @KryptoMedia Yeah Fuck you mother, and stop saying "Cool story bro" like every other Faggot on Youtube, make up something original.

  • Slug & P.O.S should collaborate. Now that would be an unstoppable force.

  • That would definitely be great, but I think what would make me most excited is if P.O.S. and Dessa released an album together, with production by P.O.S., Lazerbeak, and Paper Tiger.

  • @doctorage39 they did

  • This was TRUE Hip Hop..

  • @KAiiRiix3 this IS true hip hop

    Say word.

  • this is the song that started my listening to P.O.S.

    because of the bouncing souls

  • Yep, this guy is POS... a piece of shit.

  • @jamma246 fuck you. at least p.o.s. doesnt rap about having sex, smoking weed, and rolling in the benjamins with his pants around his knees and doesnt actually rap, just lets the computer do it for him. p.o.s. raps about life. so just go home and turn up lil wayne so loud your fucking ears explode, prick.

  • @mtnshreader22 I don't like rap, or whatever the fuck little wayne is. I was linked to this video, can't remember which, and heard this. I think the fact that it was linked from another MUSIC video that I actually liked was why I found this so shit. When I saw that his name was P.O.S. I couldn't resist.

I mean seriously, P.O.S.! He's just asking for it naming himself that.

Anyway, rap is a retarded "music" form. Boring 4/4 rhythm, poor instrumentation, boring song structure (argh, word limit)

  • @jamma246 rap is poetry with a beat...listen to good rap like a tribe called quest, wu tang clan, biggie smalls, p.o.s, atmosphere, kid cudi and lupe fiasco

  • @mtnshreader22 Ok, fair enough mate. I'm not going to troll and say that rap is just shit, if it's poetry with a beat, then it has it's place. However, I am more into the musical aspects, so naturally, rap isn't one of my favorite genres. I've never been that fussed about poetry anyway. And as is said, at least this guy doesn't sing about whores and guns, so he at least has my respect for that.

  • @jamma246 hahahaha "word limit." ironic. you don't get rap thats cool. i don't like whatever you like.

  • @Vincelambargo I'm glad that you like rap that's "cool", that seems like a very good method for picking your music, to pick whatever is cool.

And what is ironic about the "word limit". In fact, the only way this could be ironic, is in the sense that it was ironic that I had a lot more to say and youtube didn't give me a big enough word limit to explain why this music genre, musically, is garbage, so if that's what you meant, you are right.

  • @jamma246 nope, its because you're complaining about the format not allowing you enough words to express yourself, while arguing against "rap" or, the format of music allowing for the largest range of verbal expression. that is ironic.

  • @Vincelambargo Actually, in any genre which isn't too constrictive, you can express yourself just as much, and the backing music will hopefully complement the message, unlike in rap, and hence make it even more meaningful.

And how do you know that you hate whatever I like? You have no idea what I like.

  • @jamma246 and for the record it's you don't like rap, that's cool, as in that's cool for you to not like rap, i still hate whatever you like.

  • its crazy how strong minni's underground scene is and here in madison we have no real hip hop scene

  • Good song - give props to Bouncing Souls too

  • this track is straight fire- lets spread this real hip hop movement, -check brother ali, jedi mind tricks, common market, blue scholors - one

  • this shit is sick big ups to minnesota keep shinnin

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh the beat is my shit, gives me goosebumbs!!!!

  • hes ferdinand the bull.

  • @naphlongification

He just wants to sit under the cork tree and smell the flowers?

  • I love that P.O.S. talks about choosing not to use anti-gay slurs in his songs. This is just another thing that sets this brilliant man apart from the rest of hip hop. He's truly a legend.

  • you forgot Sage Francis @noizemaker512

  • great fuckin lyrics man

  • the sample is from a song called argyle by bouncing souls.....

  • sick as hell. check out grieves if u like pos

  • @doobdoobdubedoowa Grieves is sick! I remember when he came to KC I got some good pictures. There is an album on his myspace thats "by GenoSide"

    Thats me yo!

  • HAHA thats sick man i missed him when he was out here but i might see him later. hes so dirty

  • pritty down...POS is ill he covered nofx at warp tour =D wasnt he in a punk band before hip hop???

  • Possibly?

  • He still kinda is in it, they're called Building Better Bombs.

  • yee found that band from his myspace.. i used to be really into punk and that was some fresh stuff

  • Saw him tonight at the House of Blues in New Orleans. It was great. He likes to thumb wrestle =:p

  • THIS IS MY ANTHEM!

  • aesop, slug, murs, dessa and p.os are a straight unstopable force in hip hop

  • @noizemaker512 i'd add eyedea to that list too man, he's sick as hell and adds even more to rhymesayers. true poet.

  • @noizemaker512 your missing eyedea and brother ali.....And then theres always ANT.

  • @noizemaker512 i agree dude i am in love with POS right now he's deffinately my favorite out of those five right now.

  • @noizemaker512 amen to that

  • @noizemaker512 take slug out of the equation and you're about right.

  • @noizemaker512 so fucking true!

  • @noizemaker512 Give props to brother ali too

  • @noizemaker512 Agreed, can't forget Brother Ali, Joell Ortiz and all the others that have yet to get the full recognition they deserve.

  • @noizemaker512 Ill second that motion.

And I dont say f-----t, cause a promise of stress made me think about it really deep.. Peace.. I mean it.

  • great song

    doomtrees great man

  • pure quality

  • All you who like P.O.S check out doomtree, the crew that he rolls with. They are a collaborative hip-hop group with several artists, including P.O.S.

  • @chocohen393

I love Doomtree! Sims, P.O.S, Cecil, Dessa, even Mike. Everyone is raw, and I love Lazerbeak's beats.

  • your a fool

  • lol who are you little one? and what do you even know?

  • @tiffanysantos12293 Lol P.O.S is an Emcee, and if there is any "rapper" to hate, its not P.O.S.

  • Comment removed

  • you have the IQ of a BAD RAPPER

htats why you dont understand this real HIP HOP

  • Is this song on the never better album??

  • yeahhh motha fuckin bouncing souls!

i saw p.o.s. open for atmosphere in tahoe it was dope

  • 'to me MC means moves the crowd'

Shit even bo didly considered himself a 'rapper.' rap rippiddy rap tip tap its all just labels like whatevers free verse. I label Plug one as being write

  • even rappers that are maintstream that are wack! . you never know they might have a song that pretty deep in what the rapper says.

alot of xhibits stuff is like that. he has some tracks i can relate too

  • hip hop is the DOPEST

  • as soon as i heard the first few secinds i loves it

  • As a aquarius I know this to be my athem!

  • Krs-One Said "an emcee is a representative of hip hop culture. a rapper is a representative of corporate interests. an emcee can be a rapper. a rapper will NEVER be an emcee".

To me an MC is the Mic Controller and P.O.S. can definitely control the mic.

  • @justicewalking it means master of ceremonies not mic controller haha but i can see how that might make snese

  • @CommentingApple i know i just like mic controller.lol

  • i love hiim. i swear i do! if i ever met him i would tell him that this song means a lot to me.

  • Greg Attonito from the Bouncing Souls is singing. niiice.

  • Rappers are fakes, Mc's are hip hop, hip hop involves an mc, rap involves rappers, pos is a mc, not a rapper, so hes hip hop..not rap.

  • that's just dumb. rappers are MC's. its just that some arent good. singers can be MCs. a poet is an MC. a speaker to a convention is an MC. if you're expressing with vocals, you're an MC. rappers are MCs. sorry that was just a dumb prognosis.

  • thats right. MC stands for Master of Ceremonies.

  • @XredruM listen to KRS-One discuss the matter. All emcees are rappers, but not all rappers are emcees. Everyone who speaks with a mic is indeed and MC, but not an emcee in the Hip Hop sense.

  • BS. Not all rappers are bad there is some good rap and hip hop is not just about the mcs

  • its all about what you classify as rap and hip hop. ive given up trying to find a clear distinction, so i just listen to what i like now

  • I always like Stephon's work, i mean i know you can consider this punk/hip hop, but personally i dont like rock, only hip hop, even though now a days fake ass rappers fucked up the game, but i mostly like P.O.S because of the lyrics in the raps and the beat, not really the rock/punk that the other members bring

  • POS is Hip-Hop, not Rap

  • Rap is a style of music within the hip-hop subculture. They're not different genres. POS is rap - Rhythm And Poetry.

  • lol i cant believe this song has Argyl by the Bouncing Souls in it!!!

  • had this album jammin for the last few weeks on repeat. sick. much love homie!

  • met the man in tucson signed my cd and said some nice words and took some pics and yeah rocked the house down..... sick show an artist

  • saw him at comcast center today. best song of the show and he rapped from the barrier in front of the stage basically in the crowd. it was sick.

  • anyone know what album this is on!?

  • i was at warped tour 09 I don't really listen to rap his stage was beside sky lit drives so i listen to his stuff and it's really catchy

  • P.o.s. is awesome

  • I don't really listen to this kinda rap but I love this song.

  • i always felt awkward enjoying punk rock and hip hop at the same time. this song brings everything i love together perfectly. i love it.

    greetings

  • its not a sample from someplace else, its him singing it

  • i know that it's not a sample! that's why i wrote -> 'from' with -> ' ' ! ;-)

i'm not used to post in english. i can't express what i mean in the same way as i am able to do it in german. sorry for that!

BTT: i am sure, that there's a song out there and got this 'ALWAYS ON THE RUN; RUN, RUN' line in it!

    help me out!

  • Maybe, 8 minutes to sunrise by common and jill scott!!!!

  • 8 minutes to sunrise is a rad song but i don't think this is supposed to be homage to that. i think its just lyrics, plain and simple.

  • Its a mix between a de la soul song and a song by the punk band bouncing souls

  • its a mix of a de la soul beat and a soung by the punk band bouncing souls

  • argyle by bouncing souls

  • i met him 1 month ago he came to my school becuz my teacher knows him

  • do you go to FAIR?

  • Yea, who are you?

  • i go to fairrr. who are both of you?

  • POS reminds me of Flobots... this and Drumroll in particular.

And at 0:54, the violin sound in the background comes from the program Reason (Old Hollywood is the instrument).
