  • I actually own a 1998 Honda Helix, and I was wanting to get into filming some POV videos of me driving it. You have just about the same views that I want to get! I'm thinking about a chest-mount system for a digital camera. A helmet mount normally does not allow you to get the dashboard. Moreover, a chest mount system would also allow the windshield to protect the camera from frying stones and/or whatever. May God's peace be with you and your scooter!

  • Coll video, I like to hear the engine as you travel to work. Mine sounds the same.

  • i have this scooter just traded my 50cc chinese scooter for it, it runs great and can reach 80 mph

  • On the other hand. This thing can travel at top speed all day because of it's "overdrive", low rpm gearing.

  • I know these things ride well at all speeds and even cross country, but look at the boomerang handle bars and plastic dash. It looks like what Darth Vader would poop out after breakfast...

  • very nice place, where it is?

  • i love my Helix and so does my Uncle! But your video is boring.

  • i have a helix 92reg they are a great scooter and soo comfortable by far the easiest to control one handed also. im in the uk and i have yet to pass another one on the road :).

  • I have a Helix also, Your video is neat. I would hear all the odd sounds that a older Helix makes.

  • There has to be no "Greater" feeling of humiliation when you get passed by a "scooter" Nice job Honda, Maybe you should continue the HELIX line..hint ,hint

  • Why did Honda stop making the Helix?

  • i want a scooter. how fast can yours go? and how fast is the acceleration? i live in a city where people drive a bit too fast

  • Awesome. I love riding. I have the honda rebel, only a 125 but then, I am only 18. My stepdad rides a 1600 kawasaki cruiser, we often go out for rides. Good fun

  • i wanna live in the suburbs too

  • you have two lines of the benzin meter dead.please fix it

  • Loved mine. But wanted something to go on freeways, and interstates. Dude wear Boots next time.

  • The adrenalin rush i get from wearing t-shirts, shorts, sandles, steering with one hand while filming with the other, and otherwise cheating death is what drives me to ride two wheeled vehicles. I eat it up. I'm sure the freeway is a rush too. Thanks for your comment. Keep it upright!

  • Oh, I see. Mine is a '93.

  • Hey, I noticed you left it running with the main kickstand down. Mine won't do that. What did you have to do to bypass the stupid safety thing?

  • I didn't do anything! In fact I didn't even know the kickstand down would kill the engine. Mine is and '86 or '87 (I can't remember). Maybe yours is newer.

  • Don't wear sandals and use your turn signals.

    ;)

  • Good advice. I have done that before too. This was a casual day at work. But as the teenager in me says, "Nothing happened! I'm not hurt! What's the big deal? Dang!"

  • And actually STOP at stop signs....

  • GREAT TO SEE HELIX VIDEO's. I own a 2006 with 3500 miles and I am planning a long trip as soon as it gets warm. I rode last Saturday, in central ILlinois @ 35 degrees, it can not warm up fast enough. Great Video

  • I am thinking about getting a helix! I am also wondering if this is like my yamaha zuma, wich has only one gear, does this have the same thing?

  • Nice vid! I have a much smaller scooter, a Honda Elite 80 (2000 model). I can touch 50 mph on a good day, but like byewaybill says, "who's in a hurry?"!

  • god road in america are boring!

  • I know but Mobile is quite flat and laid out in kind of a grid pattern so it is mostly lefts and rights. I have another way to work that is more interesting. ciao

  • Nice Ride! Funny to see the mph indication instead of km/h we`ve in europe...

  • Thanks, I just got my '86 Helix New Year's eve and I'm looking foeward to being as comfortable riding mine as you are your's..

  • i used to have a big touring bike but now lookin out for small scooters and this one looked great and sounded great too. I live in the UK and these are nowhere to be found apart from a few 50cc ones. not so keen on the new ones i like the old space-age look.

  • I just bought my first helix last weekend although I can't use it until the snow melts here. I enjoyed your video although I wish I could see the speedometer better. You should do a speed testrun and post it!

  • no, this scooter is a 1987. It is way past a speed test run! This is my fun get around vehicle when I don't have the need for four wheels. Hope your helix is as much fun as mine. Please keep in touch.
