@yousurfer2 You can make the password whatever you like. I'm not sure of the encryption type. The password is optional however I strongly reccomend it as you probly don't want Randys joining your network and jacking your data plan. l I use a mac now.

It should work on window 7 you just need to make a local network from your laptop. Search google/YouTube on how to do that on windows 7 ... I only have vista
