Though what I believe upsets many people who chose not to follow a religion, is the way others (religious or not) tend to judge harshly and hatefully. Religion just gives these people a reason to use their Holy Book to justify their behavior. Atheism doesn't bring hate, it's this behaviour that causes atheism.
