  • in the very beginning it moved probably sdomone under it

  • It's a good idea. Given the temperature of the habitat of the animal is suited to a lesser coat one must comply on a logical basis. The cat actually looks pretty good shaven, it's a massive beast, quite muscular. How about your other cat, does it get shaved? I'm assuming that the shaved cat is male which gender is the other cat?

  • Yes, my orange lion is a male. The other one is female but she's a short hair so she doesn't need to be shaved.

  • That's quite interesting. Is it an inside cat?

  • Ya they both are.

  • Was it difficult to shave the cat? Didn't it object? How does it effect the petting ritual?

  • It depenes on his mood. He usually sits pretty good when I'm shaving his back but once I get to his side etc, he starts to get pissy. Sometimes it takes me a few days of shaving little bits at a time cuz that's all he'll sit for.

It doesnt really effect the petting. I mean it feels weird right after a fresh shave but he seems more affectionate with less hair so I end up petting him more. He rolls around with a happy look on his face. That and soooooo much less hair gets on the furniture.

  • Does the lack of receptors (hair) have an impact on it's mobility?

  • Actually its the opposite. He's so much more playful when he's got less hair and seems tonnes happier! I think the "lion" look gets to his head cuz he attacks our other cat a lot more too, lol!
