He kind of did, it's a long story and I can't remember all the details, but I remember reading that for some reason he let his teammate win one of the heats because he wasn't sure exactly how the scoring system worked and thought it would have benefited both of them. In the end his teammate won it because of this.

no Senna was NOT clearly better than Prost;that is the reason why their rivalry was so intense. IF Senna was CLEARLY better than Prost then Senna would not have been bothered by Prost as a teammate. it is universally accepted that Senna cannot believe that someone(Prost) can match his pace; which by the way, was Alonso's(2xWDC) problem with Hamilton(rookie).

yes senna was clearly faster. senna's problem though was that he had to be the fastest on every lap of the race weekend... prost racked up points with consistency and senna basically either won or crashed... noone has showed the relative pace to a teammate that senna has. he was 1.5 seconds faster than prost in monaco qualifying in the same car... crazy!

De Cesaris was f-a-s-t. He was generally considered faster than Mansell. I think that's why Mansell's pace was such a surprise once he got into a Williams.
