  • This is piss easy to play but It takes the piss learning from these videos. WTB sheet music for everything :'(

  • are you joking right?you must be joking

  • He likes green.

  • He's the MILF HUNTER!!!

  • WHO THE FCK IS THIS GUY!!!!! if he gets any cooler im gonna need to put on a windbreaker on just to watch this

  • tasty pattern

  • do you have the sheet or score piano to learn it and practice it ! do you have msn or mail to get in touch with u.. Thanks and my regard from mexico jonathan

  • Nice! BTW – you can learn to play this song in half the time with new gadget that reads MIDI files.

    Google “Gizmag and PianoMaestro”

  • sounds like chameleon by herbie hancock eh?

  • the lesson bit seems whack but his example is SSSIIIICCCKKK

  • love this blues shit, especially when blending it with jazzy and funky music

  • Could you tell me the correct sequence of videos to learn the complete funk groove?

    Thanks Ron

  • @gman4674 do it like i did, learn every part and wehen you can play every part you can mix it up like you want !

  • im not criticizing it...I THINK ITS GREAT...but bear in mind a lot of what works in this style of music is IMPLIED playing of note. Some of the "funk" is space where you CAN place a note or lick but you DON'T place it. sometimes listening is so much better than watching up close...a poor analogy could be the difference of reading a book compared to watching a movie about the book....But all in all he is a great INSTRUCTOR for those who benefit from this style and are better visual learners.Cool!

  • i luv this guy...musical perspectives...very cool teaching skills! Reminds me of an old old movies of when this austrian type musical professor/pianist was analyzing what Louie Armstrong was doing musically with his horn...and Mr. Armstrong just shrugged his shoulders and made some kind of comment like..."sounds good to me..."...the point is its great this kat is talented enough to break down some of the articulated phrases and expression in this sort of playing style...too exact for me.

  • Ahhh yeah, when he started playin full speed, that put a smile on my face. Those were some tasty licks

  • wow

  • great exemple !!! is it just me but it remind me of super mario bros !! lol <

  • Are the videos in order? I mean this is the third and he talks about lots of stuff "we have done" ?

  • but i know how he is my uncle

  • thank you :)

  • HERBIEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • I've worked out the chronological order of the videos in this series except for this one and the Bass Octaves. Which video comes first out of these two?

  • nice

  • God, all this Chameleon talk just gets the head from Chameleon stuck in my head, that little trumpet section. Chameleon is the ultimate jam song. Minor penatonics ftw?

  • nice

  • SOOOOOONAAAAAAAAA

  • nice

  • the bass sounds suspiciously chameleon-like

  • Yeah, I hear that too. It's got that same rhythm to it.

Then again, Chameleon was a great tune, so I'm not complaining.

  • other than the key change and the difference of one note is is the same but Herbie's bass line for that song is so basic that you can't really say anyone is copying him. Its like saying someone stole a 1,4,5 chord progression, everyone uses it.

  • it looks sooo easy when he plays ^^

  • Barney Rubble

  • pmsl

  • The guys from expertvillage are experts BUT the videos are (i think) for beginners (or even advanced)

  • this guy is not a true keymasta

  • I don't think they realize that everybody don't know what he's doing and we really want to learn... tell us what notes you are playing .... he sounds great... But I'm trying to learn...

  • try lypur

  • get rid of the drums dude. You are teaching funk grooves without a sense of TIME. It sounds like you are building a shed!!

  • Soubnds like Charlies and snoopy :D

  • the only thing i hat about xpert village is they make you auto play gay other things

  • haha surely if you can play a groove like that you dont need someone to teach you that its a good idea to chuck in a couple of extra chops here and there!

  • agree ; ) his groove is fckn great : P

  • muy bacano

  • nice

  • Hm maybe i should put up some tutorials for classical improv on the piano...i think ill do that :D!

  • have a listen to Erwin's elevated boogie by bob hall :D he's really really good at the whole blues-boogie thing :D

  • i want to be ur friend haha. and start a band. haha i play trumpet we could make a funky jazz band dude :P

  • this dude is cool

  • ya coz hes my uncle

  • @custardapple777 my legs can't stop moving while listening to him

  • haha ur awesome man we noob more people like u in this world

  • Fabulous! ;)

  • маладцом

  • wow, this is great...I want more!!

  • Pretty job :)

  • i Like the piano lesson videos. That's good for music educational

  • What a Freaking cool tip!

    Thanks for the video.

  • that was pretty sick

  • that waz pretty sick on the right hand

  • I so can't do that :) That was however, pretty damned neat :)

  • The bass line sounds like Herbie Hancock's Chameleon.

  • I think it was.

  • i have heard that song... at the end.. i cant remember the name but the bass line is familiar

  • Nice little riff in the end. Very simplistic, not too showy... hmm. Will have to try a bit of this.

  • hahaha

  • Dude...

This guy freakin rocks! Or... This guy freakin funks!!!

HAHAHAHA lol! Yea, bad joke, sorry.

  • well considering its more for an intermediate or advanced player not a beginner and for tips not really lessons more of tips and techniques if you'd read the description

  • There are two attitudes a person can have when watching a video like this. The first man listens, clears his mind, and is excited to learn something new, something different. The second man does not devote his energy into the art, does not give himself the time and space to learn effectively, and his mind swims through all of the things that he is already much better at and would rather be doing.

So which person do choose to be?

  • well said :)

  • i love the fill at 2:28 - effortless

  • What the guy... Amazing!
