I am so happy I finally found this. Every single time I listen to new Phantom, I am completely overwhelmed again and again by their musicality and passion.
Now that I've seen this I have a wonderful sense of the story behind the music: birth, the intensities and lulls throughout our life, a final revelation, and peaceful passing into the light. The "Spirit Guide", whatever it may be in our lives, always there, calling us to live our lives to the fullest. <3
This is actually not a full corp at this point. they were in my hometown rehersing on july 10, and staff told me they had members out due to injury. they were full size about a week after that
@tubamarc8891 except they don't march off the field, they end the show in the upper right corner as a journey from the bottom left corner, which was the begining of the show
i can see a lot of potential with that 32 beat chord at the end. this year's show is amazing and i can't wait to see how things will go as the year goes on.
@Squee36 You're absolutely right. The ending leaves you craving more *in the best way possible* because, while Phantom is known for wall-of-sound ending hits, this fades out like the resolution of a good symphony, and it leaves the listener thinking, "That was classy, I want to hear these guys some more." And fading like they do at the end fits right into the "life cycle" concept the designers had with this show. I'm in love with this show.

@tubamarc8891 which is kinda like the 1987 Cadets show.....oh wait.
Not trashing Santa Clara, but just sayin it's a pretty stock ending. It's not liscenced to SCV.

The build up and music at 5:10. Best moment of DCI 2010.

Who says a great ending has to be "in your face" and at insane tempos? This is one of the best drum corps endings of all time.

Loved almost every second of it... :)

the only seemingly dull moment: the announcer's rather dry outro. Elsewise, that was a total corpsgasm.
