When i make mine, i use beef hot dogs, sliced chedder cheese, and only half the hot dog. I like to make sure mine is closed up so the cheese dont come out thus the half dog. I also find that it tastes better if you actually boil and cook the hotdogs first. Using raw ones, while youd think they cook inthe oven, and im sure they do, they just dont taste the same as cooking them before hand. Another good think is using cocktail sausages, cooking them up and putting 2 in with a chesse in the middle.
There are many variations of the pig/blanket recipe. The UK version, which I assume is your version since you said "pigs in blankets" and not "pigs in a blanket" is the version where the sausages are wrapped in bacon. The American recipe wraps the sausages in dough, often with cheese. But don't go claiming the Americans have bastardized it. Several other European countries have this recipe as well, and it seems that sausages+dough combination is very common.
you know that they make actual weenenies that you use for pigs in a blanket. :) but i have had them that way too i just prefere the actual piggys in a blanket weenenies they have a little bit more flavor.:)
I love these things.

better if it was cut down to the chase. edited it down to the basics not a long take. shorter shots holds attention. could have made just 2.
