in a real life scenario a good placement shots is hard to obtain.now think twice, if you can do good hits in a heated situation then go for a 9mm for its low recoil.but i'll go for a .45 acp baby.
Great guns make Glocks look dumb? UMMM...Do you even have a clue what your talking about? And if your into fashion instead of function your fucked! Last I heard like 65% of lw enforcement agencies use glock they may not be pretty but when you pull the trigger plan on a round going down range every time! You need to do some serious research befor you come on here and open your yap!
That doesn't mean its a good combat cartridge, it's extremely underpowered, and probably the only reason it was adopted is because of it's low recoil, which is good for beginners, but bad for taking down people. With 9mm you have to shoot someone an average of 2-3 time before they go down.
Good point but in law enforcement they want something that can stop a man quickly and probably kill him, eg; if he's got a gun pointed at a hostage's head, where as in war they don't need to kill most of the time, injuring is enough.
I agree with you 100% I wouldn't carry a 9mm if my life depended on it. Yes you can fit alittle more ammo in the mag and that's because your gonna need it. I carry a clock21 .45acp. And I wouldn't go any lower than a .40 Most agencies have either done away with the 9mm or have offered other choices. I shoot competively and I still don't shoot 9mm. Anyway's if you use +p+ ammo and your a good shot carry your nine but not me and I know how to shoot. I just want the guy to stay down with one shot!
Those who are talking about one stop drops remember, those who deserve to be shot once deserve to be shot twice, those who deserve to be shot twice, deserve to be killed with the third.
caliber means dik! Shot placement rules over that any day. four shots in the chest with a 9mm will stop anyone....anyone! and with all the new technology they put into the new hollow points it really just comes down to mine is bigger than yours.....Shot placement over size any day
the 9mm allows for faster follow up shots due to its low recoil, sure the 9mm isn't as powerful as many would like but I'm willing to bet you'd still hate to get shot by one
I agree I have owned many 9mm I just choose to use a larger caliber. As I stated in my comment if you use the correct ammo sure carry a 9mm. I have heard to many horror stories of the 9 not getting the job done. Its a proven caliber and great for competition for those who choose to use it. I Don't know why people said my comment was poor. Its all in what you want and how comfortable you are with it. And hell no I wouldn't want to get shot by a .22 let alone a 9mm! My comment is just an opinion

My point is, 9mm wont stop, or knock down a target until you shoot them 2-3 times. even that may not kill them.

2 in the chest 1 in the head,
Its a simple Mozambique drill.
-The 9mm is a proven cartridge no need to argue that.
