@thetrainguy125 Because it is a rare railway vehicle that led theway to modern DMUs as we know them today. Also as a passenger guard on preserved railways the 141 is a welcome and comfortable change.
@1position69 The Crich tramway museum will probably be worried about this as well as confusion for passengers, if they ever get their Halle 902 tram (Germany) into service! That tram has green push buttons to open the doors.
What the museum did with the Berlin one was to use one door and have it operated by staff only (it's a sliding door manually opened by a lever but pneumatically closed), presumably because visitors might not be as safety concious as they would be if it was a public service.

@1position69 It's also the only vehicle I know of on a heritage railway with the doors opened by passenger push-buttons.
