I liked the way he killed Overlord in the comic better, but they did a great job of doing it for a kid's cartoon. Too bad Erik Larsen didn't do it like the Spawn or the Maxx cartoon though. Would have liked to have seen it in the same feel as the books.
The moral of this story? If you're an evil villain mastermind crimelord type of guy... don't make your base self-destruct control a BIG RED BUTTON, or at least set it on a delay greater than five seconds!
Would have liked to see this to a third season. Would have liked to see guys like Powerhouse, Cyberface, Brainiape and Mace.

Too bad - was a decent show, didn´t keep some sappy morale for each episode that seems to be needed these days :)
