Also where it overlaps I would just fade off of the first part and leave the word short, but faded instead of rushing it and the next. Some people like me singing opera best, some like me doing broadway, some like to hear me belt it out doing a pop "diva" song and some like to hear my smokier lower voice doing jazz. It doesn't mean my voice doesn't "fit" the song, it's just your personal preference for what YOU prefer hearing from me, and that's fine.
