  • Editors have more potential than Interpol... Also, their last album was excellent!

  • Not very good live . . . No range from singer, instruments very dull, the studio does wonders for these guys (sadly) but good shit all the same, just need a bit of volume live!!

  • EDITORS > interpol

  • you could compare interpol and editors in ´05, in the antics and back room time, but only considering genre and the singers´ voices. their live perfomances and lyrics are almost antigonistic. and now they both have a really original style. i love them both but for different reasons. interpol songs are beautiful but also heartbreaking and disturbing, editors songs are beautiful and comforting.

  • fantastic music.. let's thank someone called ian curtis that invented post punk..:)

  • i think, they should not be compared to interpol, they have a big margin of difference on their music styles, they're both post-punk revival, but they differ on how they deliver their music on their fans, listeners and audience. thats the only difference.

  • this isnt even good... bands jus dont have talent like they used too.. :[

  • @742512345689 A sweeping statement like that makes you out to be ignorant man. Plenty of good stuff out there if you look and listen hard enough, including Editors.

  • very good

  • Love this.:D

  • Comment removed

  • dis is a genials misuic, thank your editors

  • I love chris.... I guess the camera too ;-)

  • you'r right fingers in the factories is genial song

  • i've seen them just yesterday here in italy.. i must say that i prefer them live, cause they're so powerful. better than on cd! great!! fingers in tha factories the best :)

  • dont know if anyone can help me out there, i heard a song that sample the guitar on this song, it was sorta like an electronic type song, no singing, though it had a female voice through out the song.... anyone know what im talking out?

  • i'm going to see them live next week, waaaaah!!!

  • i like both interpol and editors but i'm sorry.....editors blow interpol out of the water.

  • I agree. Just found the Editors and am blown away.

  • Nice thinking ................. but you might be very wrong. Have seen both bands about 8 times now, and they continue to be equally thrilling ..... ;-).

  • @jimmyRHCP yeah, as editors last album showed quite well.. interpol are leagues above editors

  • @jimmyRHCP Couldn't agree more

  • @jimmyRHCP NO

  • @jimmyRHCP hahahaha yeah right sir, four interpol albums.. four great albums, editors last album was the biggest dissapointment of the century

  • @jimmyRHCP but joy division is better :DDD

  • best fuckin' band ever!!!

  • Magic !!!...Great songwriter with awesome lyrics and tunes...cheers

  • There are no words to say how good they are live

  • Editors are freaking amazing live, far from tedious!

  • this is a great band for those who says tha there are no good bands in this times. editors and interpol are two different bands,i like both but editors more than interpol. its a matter of tastes

  • to''whiteyb9 ''

editors are good and i love them but interpol its a lot better...

    just my point of view

  • If ur talking bout oxegen den ur eitheir retarded or deaf, da crowd was goin insane 4 dem.... interpol looked amatuer compared 2 dem.

  • you asshole. interpol was terrific. dont compare interpol and the editors. come on. that's pathetic. both of them were brilliant. i went mad.

  • I think editors preformed better at oxegen but still loved both

  • imo depends on the crowd aswel, Werchter in belgium , they we're the best

  • No better british guitar band on stage in these days....

  • that resembles me joy division.

  • i´m sorry. it´s permanently. permanently bad english i guess...

  • the drums really remind me of she´s lost control and i´m not the person who permant thinks that they sound like joy division.

  • sounds like joy division

  • Start their Uk tour tomorrow night in Belfast!! Oh yesss, i have tickets! :) It will be emotional

  • I like the bassist but he's ugly and he's inaudible when they play live.

  • i met the band when they played at one big weekend in Dundee, they were all sound(nice) apart from the bassist, he was so snide( a complete asshat)

  • Really? He's always seemed like a good guy. What sort of things was that he did to annoy you?

  • we wacthed the editors backstage (with we are scientists :P) and when they came off we congratulated them and the bassist was like GET OUT MY WAY

    a complete arse.bandit

  • What a complete royal arse burger!

  • I'd like mine without gherkins, please.

  • haha lol

  • well he did just perform on stage to a load of people, can you blame him for wanting to get out and sit down, you don't even fully know the guy do you, and to be fair, the music should make up for it, you cant say that they aren't absolutely brilliant

  • i said congrats for goodness sake, its not like i said they werent good. it would have been alright if he had ignored us but telling us to get out his way is quite gay.

anyway ye editors are brillaint but i don't know about 'absolutely' brilliant

  • too bad the second album is not as good as The Back Room.

  • Freakin awesome! I saw them in concert last night!!!

  • The most powerful song from "The Back Room". Editors always find a way to mess with your head with such great lyrics.

  • great band, the song makes me very emotional, in my opinion this version is better then the studio version, probably because of the drums. great job, guys! thanks for posting

  • The Editors are effing awesome!!

    <3

  • the lead is doing a good David Gedge, reminds me of Joy Division or Bauhaus. great stuff, glad to see there are bands out there who are doing the post-punk 80's style

  • interpol?

  • the interpol comparisions have gotten well out of hand now.

yes they both have similar influences meaning, naturally they'll have a few similarities sound wise.

but they're not THAT alike really. listen to the music and there's a huge difference between the two and their respective sounds

  • Totally agree, I mean its a post-punk voice, of course the voices are similar, not 100%. Interpol's technique on guitar is 100% different than Editors. Editors mainly use a lo-fi like sound on guitar while Interpol is pretty much natural reverb (with delay) with some effects thrown in here and there. Also, Carlos D. is probably the best indie-rock post/punk bassist ever and so cleverly comes up with incredible riffs that are out of the box.

  • Amazing band live :)

  • yeah they got a bit of a U2 sound on the gee-tar

  • your right, they remind me of early U2 like the Boy, War and October era with a modern touch to it

  • I Dpn't Think, seens more like despeche mode.

  • Vocally the singer reminds me a lot of depeche mode's Dave Gahan.

  • joy division

  • Hmm, does anyone alse just hear Ian Curtis when this guy sings? The drums even sound like "She's Lost Control", but I suppose imitation is flattery. I like it.

  • Great song!

  • editors are unique and sweet, however it is agreed that interpol r different and better :P

  • I dunno man, I like both the same. They have different technique and lyrics.

  • how the fuck is nobody dancing off there tits in that tent!! i couldnt control myself at the V fezzer, there music is there to dance to!!

  • Editors are a great band who don't deserve their interpol-lite nickname. They have their own unique sound and it rocks!!! Interpol are so much better though i have to admit

  • as a editors fan i have to admit that objectively interpol are better, but i still like editors better :)

  • Interpol is my favorite band so I appreciate that but I think Editors are way better live. At least as far as their vocalists go. I'd have to say this guys more consistent than anything I've ever heard from Banks. Having said that, as someone who has yet to purchase an Editors album, it's hard to top Interpol. I will be buying some Editors stuff shortly however.

  • editors inspire me to rite music!!

    they are sooo gurrd¬!

  • went to their gig at the glasgow carling academy last night. was actual immense!!!!!!!!!

  • editors were on the hurricane festival 2007 in germany and it was amazing! really great

  • newcastle are PILE OF SHIT

  • ps

    de lo mejor editors

  • yeah!!!!!! EDDIES FOR LIFE!!!

    EDITORS RULE SIMPLE AS!!!!!

  • drivel

  • Guitar lines ripped straight from a Chameleons album.

  • shut the hell up... aint true, i checked.. EDITORS FOR LIFE DUDE

  • wot?

  • For those who think this was at this year's edition of Pukkelpop, no - this was in 2005 when they didn't play on the Main Stage (like this year) but at the Marquee. Great video! Thanks for posting!

  • ZO WEINIG VOLK!!

  • and again they were awesome @ pukkelpop

  • the snare is fine if you don't need it on the one.

  • "The Killers UK"

jenny was a friend of mine, er, blood (live), is a good song.

  • Are you saying that Jenny was a friend of mine sounds like this song? you gotta be kidding me... totally different songs... different tempo, different chords, different melody...

  • Thay are like Kraftwerk with guitars

  • COME TO URUGUAY

  • yeah =) visited mexicooooooooooooo

    editors

  • whre the fuck do shits like you lot get your rocks off. You are truly shit. Psychedelic Furs did everything you do 15 years since but ten times better...grow up you sad cunts...I hated them too...but liked them 10 times the amount I like you fuckers

  • SUPERB

  • "Don't say it's easy to follow a process

There's nothing harder than keeping a promise...

Blood runs through your veins, that's where our similarity ends

    Blood runs through our veins"

Marvelous lyrics and riffs, a voice remembering me Ian Curtis. THX For posting.

Et pour ceux qui n'aiment pas, qu'ils aillent voir ailleurs: la critique gratuite et négative est trop facile. From Brussels, best regards: glamstrass*

  • The editors are fucking class no question!!!!!!!!

  • rubbish performance.

that snare makes me want to go to bed and cry

  • you're face makes me want to go to bed and cry. The snare's fine the way it is

  • Your grammar makes me want to go to bed and cry... "you're face"...yeah nice one

  • lol i am face?

  • Well... when i see them on 24th May, i'll tell you whether they fucking mime or not =]

  • What? They don't mime you idiots. Whoever says that is one of the following: absolutely retarded, blind, or Editor haters.

  • There's quiet a few people... i know for a fact i don't hate them... otherwise i wouldn't be seeing them for the second time =]... Its stupid isn't it really?

  • Yes!

  • What a miserable performance. This makes me want to put the record on.

  • I actually prefer some of their songs live, like fall, fingers and munich...

  • They mimed on another video. theyre kak live but album is shit hot!

  • actually it looks like he is miming

  • how can you cheat at guitar?

  • cheats, like at poker?

  • im not a big fan of editors but how does tom smith cheat wen he is playing guitar.???

  • tom smith cheats when he plays guitar

  • Actually using the capo allows some really nice chord voicings for some of the keys they play in. It's nice b/c he can play all open pretty much. It sounds great that way. I'm gonna start using that for my writing.

  • lol that comment wasnt meant to be bad in anyway..was taking the piss because of the random strumming he always seems to do :P
