Their stuff with Pat O Brien seems thrashier/dirtier/different than everything afterwords. Their album with Steve Smyth is the most musically mature. Chris Broderick is an absolute beast.

out of all their previous guitar players, not sure who I'd want back. Let's hope Attila can contribute to the band in a way all the others have

Late response but what the hell, he's unbelievable!

His angelic yet cold voice mixes with Nevermore's atmospheric and bone-crushing music. The subtle sounds that he emits during melodic passages sends chills up my spine and his powerful yet unassuming voice sparks an eerie presence in almost every Nevermore song.

This ability to dictate and add so much to the music is why I think he's one of the greats of metal vocalists and all music for that matter.
