  • i totaly love your socks

  • i m black and big

  • "Hello. My name is Edith Ann and I am five years old." LOL

  • I (and all my belongings) am bigger inside my house, and smaller outdoors. This annoys me when I do prototyping at my desk.

I do like that we can change our perspective. I've felt as one with tiny model cities, and the smallest I felt was when looking at the universe at night.

  • hi atree3.how are you?

  • I love the way you think! :D Here is a song that sings some fanciful indights about clouds that is fun to imagine as you listen. Look up on you tube:

Both Sides Now by Paul Young.

  • I'm not sure i've ever felt oppressed by a cloud before. That's an interesting thought..

I do know that nature can make me feel very small & insignificant sometimes :)

  • Sometimes I feel better when I realize I'm not-so-big. When I realize I'm just a speck, an ant, in comparison to the vastness of the universe....I guess I realize my problems and troubles aren't really so important, not much greater than an ant's in the whole scheme of things. I guess when I feel my smallness, I feel more a part of the Earth and the connection between all living things. Then, being a part of it all, I feel rather big!

  • I absolutely love when the clouds look like mountains...I've even experienced that here in FL..it's wonderful. Great stuff Margaret!

  • brilliant concept.

  • how great youtube is

that we can share things like these

instead of keeping it to ourselves

thanx for sharing this kind of mental monologue i love it

    take care

  • Maybe our perception of our own size is variable, flexible, to allow us to adjust to our surroundings?

  • Watching a second time I see this as one of your paintings. I believe you once said your life is your art, and here I definitely felt that, a merging of you the person with the material art.

  • I remember one time around midnight the sky was filled with patchy clouds, but in a very regular pattern. It was also extremely quiet and still.

When I looked up it felt as though I was in a cathedral or some other large indoor space. The Earth's entire atmosphere became a "place" that I was in, as opposed to distant ambiance. A very strange, but awe inspiring feeling.

  • Very rarely do I physically feel big... specially when I look up at the sky at night and see all those stars. Once in a while I get completely overwhelmed by the immense size of it that I realize that I'm nothing but a speck. The tick on the back of the hair of the universe would simply shrug and we could be wiped out of existence. It's humbling to realize how nearly insignificantly small we are.

And yet, as humans, we're capable of so much. We're capable of big ideas and thoughts.

  • Having moved to the desert where there are less people and you can see as far as the eye will let you, I often feel quite small. In the city I moved from, with so much and so many in the space, I felt very large. Also, I feel large in confined spaces such as the car, an elevator...and small at sea or in the wilderness. I recall feeling quite small amoungst (is this a word?...I feel small utilizing the vocabulary) the redwood trees.

  • Interesting vlog!

I feel much different than you stated in one of your responses. When I am in a confined place e.g. low ceiling small rooms, I feel smaller. It sort of makes me shrivel up. But when I am in a place with an endless horizon, where I have spent much of my life, or in a grand open interior environment, I feel buoyant and large.

Small I also feel when I am physically not well. Then the little child takes over. Interesting, our emotional size sure is NOT constant :-)

  • I have NEVER been in a setting like the one you described...being in the desert. I have never seen such a wide open space...Not to that extreme. For the past few years I have desired to visit the desert, to see the vastness, EXPERIENCE the vastness of the OPEN DESERT, the FLAT-ness...My imagination has gone wild as I would wonder how I might feel being....in a BORDERLESS, FENCELESS vista....Thanks for the video. I agree with Burton. "HOT SOCKS"....

  • Your socks are hot.

  • I feel much bigger in a house with low ceilings. I also feel bigger when I am giving of myself.

  • Yes, that is kind of what I am talking about. There is something about the feeling of confinement that makes you feel larger. That intrigues me, it seems it would be the opposite.

  • I have a mental image of Alice completely filling the room after she took the pill!

  • I always felt bigger when I lived in South Korea and Thailand. Now that I am back in Canada I feel smaller.

  • When I look in a mirror the reflection I see is bigger than what I feel. I feel small in the universe but big in how I love.

  • im biggest when i am in the ocean with my dogs.

the water is so vast and even though fancy and crash are big in comparison we are at our happiest there

    xoexo

  • I am bigger than the conventional bread box.

  • much bigger, what about the conventional oven, you so hot

  • hmmmm the conventional oven is still much more of a relevant cultural phenomenon, so no, the oven is bigger than me. ;D

  • you look very small in that chaise! :)

  • I think we are all very small when you think of the universe, but in the same instance I think we are very big when someone opens there heart to another

  • I always find it interesting when going to places i was when a child, so much smaller things have become in my absence
