ok, so first of all, it has nothing to do with import or "american muscle" any car can make this kind of power if you put enough money into it, second of all, import cars spank muscle cars that have the same amount of power as them or more, because of a better power to weight ratio. second, wheelies also have nothing to do with horse power. but with power to weight ratio/ torque to weight ratio. which is why a 400 lb bike only needs 120hp to wheelie while a 2000 lb car needs over 600hp

You can pull it off with sheer power but I think Fast and Furious 4 did it differently. They probably did it some cheap way like most of the movie. Btw, the Skyline R34 was fake (kit car) and the M5 was a BMW 540 with an M5 badge. This just makes me think they wouldn't want to spend their millions of dollars to make a high performance car to create a wheelie. Probably used some hydraulics or something.

You'd be surprised how well they can do it now. 85% of the entire chase scene in Spiderman 1 (where he is chasing his uncles car) is entirely 100% computer generated, cop cars, city street and Spiderman, EVERYTHING computer generated. Before the movie came out they showed some clips actually filmed (you can see cameras and an entire set) and the wheelie part was there so I assume they didn't computer generated it.
