My 68YO mother constantly embarrasses me & my wife by referring to our lack of children- she’s DESPERATE for grandkids.

It all went too far during one visit last year- she devised a tasteless stunt in which she dressed up my Dad (who has Alzheimer’s) as a baby, with nappy & dummy. Bouncing the poor guy on her knee & pointing accusingly at my wife, she cried “if YOU won’t give me any grandkids, I’ll make do with HIM”. We don’t want kids yet- how the hell do I manage the situation?

I imagine my mum is going to be the same with me (though not quite as extreme) but I've already told her I'm never EVER having kids. Partly because of seeing a childbirth video in sex ed which had scared me into not wanting it and I don't like kids anyway.

@mirta000 actually not true. C-section is major, serious surgery...they have to SLICE through several layers of muscle and tissue. They should only be performed in emergencies, as they otherwise greatly increase risk of infection and death to mother and child. Vaginal birth recovery happens quickly, and is also best for baby...by 6 weeks I was back to normal. Recovery with C section is much longer, more painful, and you have a permanent scar. Vagina/uterus shrink to normal after.

I may not be ttc'ing, but I just have to say this is a beautiful video. I would have given anything to have been able to video my 1st son's birth but unfortunately it wasn't allowed in the hospital. I am done having kids now, I have 3 beautiful boys but I just wanted to say I watch your videos and you have a wonderful family and your son is adorable. This is definitely a video that you will cherish for a life time :)
