You have a graphical processing unit that handles most of the graphics-related data, you have random access memory (RAM) that stores all of the in-use data for quick access, and motherboard/logic board that houses it all.

RAM is indeed used in the Xbox 360, just as it is in the ps3, wii, ds psp iphone etc.

2. Take the motherboard out of the casing, AND FLIP IT OVER.

5. Now go smash your Xbox. Stop trying to understand something you know nothing about.

Data are stored there for a small period of time to be accessed by cpu when ever they are needed. If it had no ram then you would need 2 octacore cpus with huge cache to operate the system. Okay, i just tell you how i fix it. Error code 0110 mean that i had a problem with system memory on motherboard (ram). Xbox360s has 4 chips of ram, one of them are with damaged soldering,and need to fixed on IR soldering station.When i fix all 4 ram chips, this xbox start to work

Lay it down on the side with no vent. They made it to where it's one vent on the body and one on the top and bottom so it's one side that you can lay it down on, considering most people dont stand their xboxes up like that, so it won't over heat.

For non-Slim consoles, 0110 is RAM (memory) error. This problem on non-Slims has often been caused by GPU too. If the GPU's solder balls that connect to RAM become loose it thinks that the RAM is defective and shows 0110.
