Originally Bobby (the oldest from Switch) didnt want to sing in the upper register bcuz he didnt want to sound like a sissy. The record lable encouraged it. Later when Debarge was signed by Motown, El Debarge didnt want to sing upper register either for fear of sounding like Bobby but even Motown encouraged it also saying that he was blessed with perfect pitch falsetto which the ladies love. Song went #1.Classic Got it!!
