@gtawesom3 If its tuned leaner It will wheelie on demand, but I would rather keep all 4 wheels on the ground and keep it a little richer for longer engine life.
I'm having a lot of difficulties priming my losi lst xxl, when i press down the prime button the fuel isn't reaching where it's suppose to go. Also the pull start sounds like it has no tension and its just spinning but no clunking sound. With the spin start it just spins fast but doesn't sound like starting! Please help
@RoyalsChamp5 This happened to me to. For me, the problem was that no fuel was in the tube therefore not getting to the carb. i just primed it extra long and then tried starting it up. Started easy. Hope this helps!
@RoyalsChamp5 idk if losi trucks have them but this happened to me in my savage my one way bearing was stripped out so it had no intension of starting it just kwept spinning try taking the engine out and then the starter out and look inside theres prb a nut that goes on the shaft thats what spins it and starts the motor
Well, i have never driven a savage, but I like the design of the LST trucks much better than the savage trucks. With the LST trucks you can have any part out of the truck with 5 or 6 screws in just a couple min. With the savage trucks and their TVP chassis, some parts needs way more dissasembly to get too...
I would definatly go for the LST XXL, but like I said, I have never driven a savage. from what I hear, you cant go wrong with either truck... (continued...)
thanks man. I think ill go wit the lst...i really like that u have heat and speed sensors on the truck. Plus u could probably run it on a track better since its wider and lower, i like to bash and race. but thanks so much!
look the traxxas brand is very complicated and to return parts and buy new ones they r hard to hastle w/. I just bought a losi lst xxl for 870$ in aus with 2x multiple charger and everything ready to run
Yes they change automatically. You probably wont get to second gear till about your 5th break-in tank... Have fun, You wont regret buying this truck!!!
Yes and no. It was still winter when i broke it in, So I could not get it started unless I heated the head first with a hair dryer. But once I got it started, I never had a problem with it stalling out, and the break in was pretty easy. I used the heat cycle method. You start it the first time, run half a tank driving slowly, let it cool completly, then start it again and run a full tank, driving slowly, never above half throttle, let it cool down completly, repeat for 6-7 tanks. Done
Monster trucks arent about speed. I've had it up to almost 50Mph since this vid (which was taken right after break-in), But yes there are much cheaper ways to get to 50mph. What I love about this truck is its off road handling and jumping, The only monster truck that comes close in handling is the traxxas revo, but its smaller, and I wanted something BIG LOL
I totally agree.. most speed junkies are ignorant of what people actually want the truck to do.. IMO off road bashing/racing is more fun than open tarmac spaces. I can't run nitro anymore do to my urban area and complaint.. But I hope to get a Brushless/lipo e-revo..
Low end power is what you want in a monster truck, who cares if it goes 41,47, 68, or 25 mph top speed. This thing has plenty of power. Very cool truck. That goes fast enough.
kirksachs i need you to please post a video how to set up the lst xxl because i getting one really soon and i dont really know how to set it up....thanks.
THe manual tells you everything you need to know. Including step by step setting it up to run and breakin and everything. Just sit down and read it a couple times before you even touch the truck, and you will do fine!
well it was like way to lean orr wutever it was but yeah and i have like a million upgrades and why dont you meet me at an empty parkin lot... not in that way, just to show you how fast the car is
I'm about to buy one, can't wait!

Some things to consider..
The LST XXL tires will last longer than the pin tires on the savage.
The LST uses CVD axles all around, the savage uses dogbones.
The savage has 8 small shocks, the LST has 4 HUGE shocks. (less maintenance and better damping)
LST XXL has reverse, savage doesn't.
the LST comes with a super NICE 3 channel 2.4ghz computer radio, the savage just has a basic 2 channel 27mhz unit.
The LST can be started by pull start or battery spin start, savage is spin start only.
