Everyone could snipe. Not everyone could be a fuckhead and run around with a weapon that was meant for stationary shooting. People couldn't quick scope, so they fucking flipped out and it got fixed. I mean for gods sake, the RSASS even has a bipod on it in MW3. However, there aren't shit for maps for snipers except liberation. Everyone's catering to quick scoping fucks.

Snipers in MW3 are freakishly overpowered. With a little luck, you can beat any other gun in the game. You shouldn't be able to scope in so fast. What annoys me is running against a somewhat experienced snipers who kill me instantly at short range, even though I just put like 3 bullets at them.

The should just remake cod 4 + WAW - lose the Juggernaut and stopping power make snipers 1 shot 1 kill above the knees every time and keep everything from the maps, challenges, game modes and even the kill points the same - instead of making a new game with loads of new shit which is going to have 1 millions problems with it

I'm probably a freak for thinking this, but I find that sniping without Quickdraw is easier for me. Firstly, I find Quickdraw encourages me to rush too much. Secondly, I find it easier to judge where my crosshairs are going when its a slower ADS and therefore I'm just a lot more accurate.

I disagree. Sniping is stupidly OP and QS is the problem.

If a sniper beats a shotgun or smg every time across the map (which is true), the opposite should apply in close quaters (which QS fucks up).

Ok, QS takes (a little) skill, but not nearly enough. Even an expert has no chance accross map with a shotgun or smg because of these weapons chateristics. The same should apply to the snipers in close quaters, but doesn't because of QS.

@Maziph Forget about realism - this is a game. And besides, none of the weapons are realistic anyway (was gonna list some examples here, but it took up too many charecters).

However, my point remains the same: a sniper (in the hands should of an expert) should have as little chance in close quaters as an smg or a shotgun (in the hands of an expert) has accross the map. This is not the case in MW3 because of QS. Therefore, QS is a broken mechanic.

I'm sorrry, I know this game isn't necessarily predicated on an absolute dedication to realism - but being able to do this with a sniper rifle is abject retardation. At no point could a human being ever replicate this. It's game breaking. I've had an entire team rage quit in ground war, twice, because a sniper was able to easily annihilate every one of us in seconds. You should have to at least AIM before you shoot. Half the time, the scope doesn't even come up before you one shot people ...

Changing sniping would render the sniper useless, like what was said in the commentary (because of map size) but also unfair. For instance, your contention would also mean that all other weapon types should be perfectly suited for any map/situation. By that logic, sub machine guns should be as valid at extreme range as assault rifles, and assault rifles should one shot people. Sorry, different maps/situations = different strategies. Like in real life, a sniper isn't suited for every conceivable combat situation.

But, again, it's not like that when you actually apply it to the game. If this was bf or something where the maps are huge, then quickscoping would be stupid, but the maps of this game are so small that the sniper without quickscoping is almost useless. And, honestly, I don't care what the sniper does in real life. This is a video game.
