I doubt that this is the "original" song, since this song was composed by Yuichirou Oda, and this English version has also been used in the Cat's Eye Ending (in the later episodes). It seems like the production team hired Cathy Linn to do an English version, as well as Anri's Japanese one. Well, in the 80s they loved using English song in anime (like UruseiYatsura and Maison Ikkoku).

The English version also made an error at the end of the (TV-Size version) song; it ends with "Dancing With the Sunshine, Dancing with the Sun" while the Japanese ANRI version ends properly with "Dancing with the Moonlight, Dancing With the Sun". I like both versions, just which they'd play the Japanese one more.
