  • i wishd id had 1987 black and 1992 red

  • Yes, but where are the dimensions! This is quite too superficial tor the famous mark!

  • I like the limited/special edition ones with the lavish interior and standard aircon which kept the cabin as cool as you like in summer and pleasantly mild in winter and it also helped demist the windscreen faster if the temperature was set high;the air con fitted to the heat/vent system was far better than the standard heat/vent system which was good but when you were demisting at high heat it sent the car temperature soaring at the same time and roasted your face.

  • Rosalyn Landor is the actress - the ultimate 80's "bitch-goddess". Anyone got the one where she says - "aren't you being a little hasty?".

  • @misterecoumberto You might like this one: ?v=wczbNAyjEgo

  • @misterecoumberto watch?v=Moaz4ZrM65w&feature=related

  • Has any got a link to the "Johns with me - Ian's with me - and we've got the backing!" ad that accompanied this one?

  • @tbivision watch?v=Moaz4ZrM65w&feature=related

  • Had a 1990 2.0i for a couple of years. It was ten years old with 130,000 miles. Put another 50,000 on it with no problems except the electric sunroof stopped opening all the way. Maybe I was lucky?

  • @xraycortina i had a 1990 2.0 txi same happened to me

  • I had a 2.2.gtx 25 for about 3 years and it was very reliable and a great motorway cruiser.

  • Renault 25 were the first cars in the entire world with a radio-cassette remote control mounted behind the steering wheel - series and the second Renault model with a central locking system (it was intorduced 4 the first time on the Renault Fuego - another icon of the 80's).

Nowadays is a modern classic vehicle (oldtimer).

Despite its electrical faults it's a very solid and reliable car.

The Turbo diesel engine is one of the most reliable engines in the world.

    Its design is unique.

  • the sliding roof seems to work on this car but as its a renault, dont hold your breath. Loved the styling of their cars but jeez they are SO unreliable. My 25 and Laguna were always breaking down with electrical faults. I've changed to german engineering now and dont regret it

  • Their build quality wasn't great but their designs were years ahead of their time. I had the 2 Litre Fuego GTX and it was a flyer with aircraft type seats and a cockpit like dash. They were the most aerodynamic cars on the road at the time along with the Audi 100. Unfortuneatly they fell apart after a few years and the gear box gave trouble.

  • I saw this advert during a film on Channel 4 called 'Quo Vadis' when I was quite little taped on video. Crufts and the 1979 original Shake N Vac advert were also the ones I can remember.

  • my vw beach buggy has this engine mid mounted in it

  • DIE YOU YUPPIE BASTARDS DIE.

  • poor poor yuppies

  • it is BACARA :) special version of 25 xD

  • It's not BACCARA paw.

    It's a Phase 1 Renault 25 V6 Turbo.

BACCARA were only Phase 2 Renault 25 (made starting 1989).

This is an 1986 Renault 25 V6 Turbo.

    Think twice before writing once.

  • This was one of the ads parodied by Ben Elton.

  • Vaya coche mas feo y antiguo el renault 25, ni punto de comparación al renault 19 fase 2 año 1995, ese si ke es un coche wapo seguido del renault megane classic, ke son los dos coches mejores y mas wapos de la historia de renault.

  • Oooh, oooh, and the Audi one with another archetypal yuppie rejecting it and stomping off shouting, "Tell Charles I'm on my way," into his mobile phone, followed by, "Taxi!" as the sensitive, longhaired Audi salesman watches him go without regret. I always thought he must be a BMW driver. (And I wanted to go out with that Audi salesman.)

  • Wonderfully cringe-making! Has anyone found the other one yet? And the renault one with the traffic warden sitting on the bonnet, where the bloke wakes up in a panic shouting, "Sarah!"? (As in, "What's yours called?")

  • Does anybody have the other advert in this series? The one where he's the archetypal yuppie, and says the "David's with me, Richard's with me..." line..?

  • The American version was a proper saloon/sedan compared to this,

  • Was it equally as ugly as sin.... what am I saying, "American version" - of COURSE it was.

  • Renault (need to) build a better car...lol!

  • Check out the US version of this car. It was sold by Chrysler and they paid a royalty to Renault. Do a search on Eagle Premier, that's what it was called in the USA

  • yeah, but the car looked ugly, the french 25 is way better...

  • such an amazing pile of junk, well its a renault!! made so it can help scrap dealers make their money along with fords and so on...

  • Muy cursi. Malos los publicistas que contrata Renault en Inglaterra. No he visto el primero bueno. Todos los vistos hasta ahora son fanta"tontos".

  • ...."a renault? oh for fucks sake... i will be seeing less and less of you"

  • what an idiot!

  • Wow, when I searched for R25 ad I thought I was going to find the "I'm going it alone" one with the same two actors in the car together. Totally forgot this one. Have you the original?

  • jeap, my fist car with 18. good smokers car ;-)
