I never heard of some of the actors you have listed but I do know that both Blythe Danner and Brittany Murphy are dead.Also I think Betty White would be better for Grandma Mazur and a much better pick for Sally Sweet would be Tim Curry.As for Ranger...I'm thinking either The Rock or Ice-T(from Law and Order:Special Victims Unit.)Morelli could be either Joe Penny or Christopher Meloni.

For all those who think Queen Latifah should be Lula--don't you think she is too tall? Lula in the books seems to be short and round. I would vote for Mo'Nique as Lula.

I think out of all the lists I have seen, you have come the closest to getting the characters right. I think of Monique when I think of Lula. The Rock would make an awesome Ranger and Anne Hathaway is sooo Stephanie!

alot of the chocies are great! but Lula should be played by Queen Latifah instead of Nash, Nash is just so Lula-ish in real life that people wouldn't see Lula they would see Nash.

I'm really surprised that people voted for Betty White as Grandma Bella, she's so sweet, not nearly scary enough! I always envisioned one of the other Golden Girls - Estelle Getty, but she passed away last year, so they need to find someone else equally scary and imposing and in my opinion that is most def not Betty White!
