General Maximus aka, Russell Crowe still retains his stoic persona from his 2000 film gladiator. As if, Maximus transported himself to the future as Robin hood.

A typical Robin Hood character is an individual that understands chivalry, yet a rebel with a cause, plundering the rich and enriching the poor with his debonaire style and witty tricks he produces on the local authorities (eg, Sheriff of Nottingham).

This movie is a little too stoic for a title for Robin Hood.

This film is a good film, although not as good as Kingdom of Heaven and Gladiator.

Because of the high standards in his previous film, this film did not portray history of England and France to much accuracy.

Firstly, King Richard can't speak a word of English. Secondly he died of Gangrene from an arrow wound fighting not against french but an internal war. Thirdly, there was no invasion of England by France, 4th, the merry men were kids, the "Magna Carta" was signed by King John in 1215.
