  • Nothing against De Niro, but Jack Nicholson has this hands down.

  • Jack all the way! Only Guys that can take Jack is Pachino and Brandon!

  • De Niro ... no Nicholson .... no De niro .....(head explodes)

  • i dont which one is the "Winner" both of them are awesome

  • De Niro. Easily. But both are good.

  • Robert De Niro is also a good actor but Jack is better

  • Jack Nicholson(watch The Shining and a few good men)

  • No Doubt. JACK NICHOLSON WINS.

  • Jack Nicholson is better than anyone.

  • Jack Nicholson's eyebrows own all

  • It is really Really REALLY! fucking close........but i always lean toward De Niro.

  • the winner is ........jack with 3 oscars

  • Pacino stopped making relevant shit.. De niro only cares about the money now, Little fockers? Really?.. and the best thing Jack has done in the last 5 years is The Departed.. These are 3 of the best actors in the world, we need to get them back into making great films.

  • amazing, unbelievable, outbreathing jack nicholson in "about schmittd" movie in 8:50 seconds...thats a underated movie, and jack make a brilliant role. Thats a thrilling scene, but you must see the movie to undestand better. (sorry my english its no very good :(...)

  • De Niro in Raging Bull or Taxi Driver, and Nicholson in One Flew Over The Cucoo´s Nest or The Shining are an education in worldwide cinema; but as always i will go for De Niro first.

  • Nicholson for president!!!!!!!!

  • I love De Niro much more than Jack but the ugly truth is that Jack has "matured" better than De Niro. Jack is making even better movies now than in his youth but De Niro can't get a decent break nowadays

  • I'm the view number 100000 fuck yeah and thanks

  • This poll is fixxed several of Nicholson's best roles aren't even included, where Deniro's are

  • @1motorcycleboy De Niro's career > Jack's career. The adaptation of "I Heard You Paint Houses will definitely get him an oscar nomination for best actor. Al Pacino and Joe Pesci are gonna be in it too. It's also rumored he might work with David O Russell real soon. Machete was pretty decent, so was Limitless. Pacino just did a movie called You Don't Know Jack which was excellent. Jack's in my top 5 though. Great actor.

  • You guys need to see Nicholson in The Pledge and The Last Detail, I knew several guys like SM1 Budansky when I was in the Navy. Jack all the way. Bobby D has become a self parody from shit like The Fockers. As for Pacino, he doesn't even rate

  • Wow, now I know where the ending from Falling Down came from. Taxi Driver.

  • Two legends and like all art is subjective. Like comparing Picaso to Dali.

  • They are both excellent actors but i always lean toward De Niro................I mean just look at him Taxi Driver.........It's no contest

  • 7:56 Gets me every time.

  • no clips from the departed? haha silly man

  • i think Nicholson has got more nominations to the academy award than did Deniro.

  • What about Robert Van Winkle? His performance in "Cool As Ice" stacks up well against any movie that these gentlemen have made. And don't forget America's lovable retard, Vin Diesel. I don't get out much.

  • Ndugu!!!

  • mike tyson is the best actor

  • @tmotleygoldstein FAIL!!!

  • nicholson

  • I can't decide! AHHHH! Head splodes

  • my votes for nicholson all the way

  • How come Robert De Niro has never done a movie with Jack Nicholson?

  • @kalimaganeshshivan Actually, Jack Nicholson had a small role as ''Brimmer'' in the Last Tycoon (1976) alongside Robert De Niro. De Niro was also offered a role in the Departed (2006) but couldn't take it even though he really wanted to as he had to finish work on the Good Shepherd. I am sure those two are great friends!

  • @MegaGuitarhero1994 Wow I didn't know that, I have to check that out. I haven't seen the Last Tycoon since it first came out. De Niro would have been good in "The Departed". You mentioned the "Good Shepard", Matt Damon was in both of those movies? I guess Matt is young enough to finish two projects while De Niro says these days, "please only one at a time" I can't blame him. I hope Nicholson, Pacino and De Niro will all do a movie together one day, even if the plot isn't very well written.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan I think it would have been kinda pathetic if De Niro and Damon were in two films the same year. Martin Sheen played De Niro's part which he was meant to in the Departed. I hope that aswell too! three awesome actors.

  • @MegaGuitarhero1994 Yes you're correct about that; two actors being in two movies the same year would have been awkward.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan Well De Niro made a good choice because even though I like this guy as an actor he still gets the same people to star with him constantly: Adam Sandler.

  • @kalimaganeshshivan

    they have....the last tycoon

  • Jack is more fun to watch. I think they're both equally solid actors.

  • jack nicholson beats robert de niro by miles

and yet de niro is effectively a god.

so what does that make jacky?

    the god of the deities.

  • does anybody know from what movie is the third scene???

  • @mpmarques "Mean Streets"

  • @BobSlydell100 thanks a lot!

  • robert de niro in the best film of all time "goodfellas"

jack nicholson in the second best film of all time "one flew over the cookcoos nest"

  • @TheReilly8 in terms of great acting dont you think cape fear was de niro's best film?

  • I'm sorry but-- no, no I'm not sorry. Jack Nicolson defiantly owns De Niro.

  • Dos genios y monstruos del cine.

  • Apples to oranges. but if I had to choose, It'd be jack.

  • Both great method actors. While Jack studies thoroughly for his roles, De Niro goes to the extremes which is scary. Jack doesn't play himself at all, in The Last Detail he was unrecognisable as Buddansky. I thought the same for The Shining, Chinatown and One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest and even The Pledge. Have you seen Jack prepare for the "Here's Johnny" scene in The Shining? Crazy lol but De Niro is outstanding as well.

  • Jackkkkk!!!!!

  • Golden actors, real actors, whom we love more! Nicholson and De Niro.

  • y al pacino?

  • Instead of keep argueing whose the best actor of jack and de niro, even I'm a big fan of jack, why don't we just keep us to Jack's fact. "If there's anything obvious in life, this is it. Other actors don't go around discussing who is the best actor in the world, because it's obvious - Marlon Brando is" :)

  • jack is such an unique actor... wherever he goes he turnes all the spotlights towards him... if u compare him and robert deniro, then i must say jack will steal the show... both of them are legends but jack is the winner...

  • "Are you talking to me?"

  • Nicholson!!!!!!

  • Robert DeNiro

  • holy shit that's some acting in cuckoo's nest...you'd swear that he actually got the electro shock for real...

  • Both Legends, but got to say Id rather hang out with Jack if i had the choice.. ;)

  • Jack is the one... THE BEST!

    - Nicholson

    -Pacino

    -Hopkins

  • great video ...but pointless....we obviously love them both so who cares ??

  • What makes nicholson better than ANY actor who has lived?...its charisma. In fact look at the only film nicholson and deniro star in.''The last tycoon'',nicholson has a small cameo, but dominates his scenes,to the point where deniro could have been played by joe blow, and you wouldn't really notice.THAT'S what makes nicholson the best.

  • anyone care to tell me the de niro movie where he is the devorced father and his ex has the son taken away from him

  • Jack

  • It's hard to say actually...Both of them are extremely talented actors, but they are so different. I love them both. But I ultimately choose Robert De Niro. Because his perfomances in The Godfather II, Taxi Driver, The Deer Hunter, Raging Bull, Once Upon A Time In America and Cape Fear are unforgettable! Don't get me wrong. Nicholson is one of my favourite actors, but if I had to chose between him and De Niro. I choose De Niro. But as I said. Both of them are phenomenal actors!!

  • Jack is wayyyyyy superior

  • De Niro is better hands down

  • Not to say he's better, but I just like Bobby D more.. I prefer his style... Both are good, extremely gifted, successful actors, probably 1a and 1b in the best actor ever category, so it's unfair to say one is better. Jack is more successful in the awards category, but I truly think DeNiro was robbed on several occasions.

  • Its like comparing Jimmi Hendrix and the Beatles..............pointless but fun

  • @keflar5 Well The Beatles beat Jimi out of the water, I like Jimi, but Beatles were more revolutionary. It's more like comparing the Stones to the Beatles.

  • @beeryce88 Jimmi Hendrix reinvented THEE instrument of the 20th century so as far as revolution he was a much worthier opponent for the Beatles than the stones

  • @beeryce88 Hey man, your opinion, I respect it. No reason to bother getting into a music argument here.

  • yeah, but The Beatles win;o)@keflar5

  • @keflar5 yeah, but de niro is better than nicholson, all you have to do is compare their early performances

  • @keflar5 It's like comparing Miley Cyrus to Terrence Trent Darby

  • @keflar5 You actually meant to say like comparing Presley and the Beatles. Both of them were great, amazing, talented, and hearttouching. It's only a matter of which one do you personally prefer.

  • jack nicholson

  • De Niro went from Mean Streets to Godfather to Taxi Driver to Raging Bull, watch Cape Fear,Awakenings,The Untouchables,Deer Hunter, De Niro has a wider range and the intensity and precision he gives his performances are unmatched. Not to mention he actually physically transforms himself to the characters, like gaining weight, grounding his teeth. He did research and training for his roles. He is more passionate about acting than Jack, and better. He is subtle at most times, but that is not weakness.

  • Well, Marlon Brando owns all.

  • 2 great actors.my favorite actors.but Jack nicholson is the best of the bests. He can play every character.A gangster,a loser,a bad boy end story.

  • DeNiro is just the best actor to play a gangster

And Nicholson...he is just great. He can make you love him or hate him just from his screen play.

They are both some big, great, talented actors.

  • @toxikkizz

At least two of the most prominently featured clips here for DeNiro are from films where he did not play a gangster.

  • that's the eternal question. No one plays gangster like De Niro, but no one does sarcasam like Nickolson. That's a toughie. Wish that you'd have included clips from Awakenings, Deer hunter, Cape fear, Witches of Eastwick, Chinatown and Easy rider.

  • Deniro all the way.

  • @lupoistheman1 lol ye

  • Can't someone write a screenplay that has ALL these GREATS in it?! Put 'em ALL in: Nicholson, Pacino, De Niro, Pesci, Garcia, Freeman, Jackson...etc...

    Do you get me, Sweetheart?

  • @69adrummer that would be like The Expendables of great actors

  • @69adrummer you forgot Connery :O

  • @69adrummer and denzel

  • I'm an actor... They're both very good but Jack Nicholson is a better actor.

  • deniro is no.1 .. fuck every one else

  • i will have to say nicholson

  • Daniel Day-Lewis!!!

  • Number one: Robert De Niro;

    number two: Al Pacino;

    number three: Sean Connery;

    number four: Johnny Depp;

    number five: Brad Pitt.

  • I have to say nicholson

  • This is a difficult choice. Jack Nicholson delivers his best, and perhaps the greatest performance in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Robert de Niro doing his best clear role in Raging Bull. Jack Nicholson has, in my opinion just delivered four VERY good roles. Robert de Niro delivers in every film, see Raging Bull, Mean Streets and Taxi Driver, all of Martin Scorsese. His role in The Godfather 2 is also very good, but not as good as the three. But in my opinion they are equally good.

  • De Niro = representational style

    Nicholson = presentational style

  • @Ironcabbit

    what?

  • i wouldn't want to choose between them. both are fantastic.

  • i think jack is the best

  • It's like deciding which of your children to save if you were forced to - both of them have given so many great performances and both of them are hilarious in comedies too

  • It's hard to choose. They have different actinc style.I will go for Jack Nicholson.

  • Hmm.. I vote Joe Pesci

  • Damn...it should be called "Tha titan battle"

  • Bobby is much better, but Jack is great as well.

  • @lupoistheman1 It's hard to decide man I mean it's apples and oranges.

  • Two superb actors with legendary status? Yea, definitely apples and oranges.

  • where ever u put Jack nichilson he will success. But de niro is very good only in mafia and crime movies.Actually I do love de niro much more than I love nichilson but this is the truth.

  • its impossible to compare these two

  • DeNiro solely cause of Heat. Best movie ever made in in human mankind.

  • Jack Nicholson è grandioso ma De Niro is God!

  • Nicholson just plays himself in every role it seems to me.

  • hands down Jack.

  • De Niro es el mejor

  • they're both fucking great

  • No doubt - im for Jack! Roberts is very close though! Lots of impressive work from both of them!!!!

  • 5:25 best scene ever

  • I liked the even comments above

  • Hi Lloyd... a little slow tonight isn't it..

  • does anyone know the movie where jack goes nuts and has a rant while hes talking to a complaining woman and sounds something like "go outside!!!, do something with your life..and open some windows for once, its starting to smell like a goddamn coffin in here!!!"....not exact quotes but very similar.

  • How can he not include de niro's performance in say, the godfather or goodfellas?

  • It's a draw. 50/50.Par-Excellence. Both actors have chops, BIG TIME! . Period. I've seen 'Pitt', among others do some particularly brilliant work (13 Monkeys comes 2 mind), but DeNiro & Nicholson r in a league of their own.

  • vs. vs. vs......can'T here it anymore!

  • in the 30's/40's there was humphrey bogart

in the 50's there was james dean and marlon brando

but the 60+ there's ONLY ROBERT DE NIRO and JACK NICHOLSON

they don't make them like they used to anymore :(

  • You forgot to put one of the best scenes in movie history...the one with Jack Nicholson pretending to watch the World Series on TV

    MEAN STREETS(1973)

    TAXI DRIVER(1976)

    NEW YORK, NEW YORK(1977)

    TORO SALVAJE(1980)

    EL REY DE LA COMEDIA(1982)

    BUENOS MUCHACHOS(1990)

    CABO DE MIEDO(1991)

    CASINO(1995)

Obviamente ya q lo sume a scorcese puse las peliculas de ellos dos juntos. Sin palabras, solo gracias!

  • Too bad Deniro has no idea how to choose his scripts anymore. Nicholson has still made some great films in the latter part of his career. As far as who's better, I really couldn't say. Deniro could never do what Nicholson does and vice versa. People who think Nicholson always plays the same character obviously haven't seen films like "About Schmidt" and "Hoffa."

  • Jack Nicholson is great but Robert De Niro is the greatest...

  • I like Jack, but he plays basicially the same character in every movie he's in.

  • lol @ overdramatising electro-shock treatment, as hiddeous as it is, its over in a few seconds.

  • NO ONE LOSS

  • How can you compare De Niro with Nicholson. De Niro is way better, there is no actor out there that can be compared with De Niro maybe Marlon Brando and Al Pacino, De Niro took method acting to a whole new level. He is the most influential actor of this generation.

  • Jack Nicholson is always himself, he does not act. De Niro is versatile, he inhabits the characeters he plays. The best actor ever!

  • De Niro best actor in history. Sorry, i love Jack Nicholson...but De Niro is in another level...this boys life, cape fear, goodfellas, casino, the mission, awakenings, the deer hunter, midnight run...etc...etc...etc......De Niro is the #1 actor in history..hands down.

  • @sfumato1002 Brando is better then De Niro :P I would put De Niro at #2 tho.

  • robert for ever <3

  • At the "Mean Streets" segment in DeNiro's part, I can't help but think of the clunky fighting controls in GTA3. lol ^^

  • I love deniro but i cant handle the way he acted in taxi driver, i think he became better with progression of time, especially the deniro-killer eyes

  • Yeah it is Apples and Oranges. I mean one can say that Jack has more of a range. Robert plays basically the same character in all of his movies. On the other hand, Jack has a broad range of different characters. Really down to opinion.

  • @AndraFilm Robert De Niro has no range? From Godfather II to Taxi Driver to Raging Bull to Cape Fear.Have you ever seen Cape Fear, the last moments of that film you don't even recognize De Niro. That performance alone blows Jack out the water

  • @NielDaRebelde I never said he has no range. I believe Jack has a broader range of characters. This is really all opinion. I love them both, but if I could emulate a person's acting ability, it would be Jack.

  • And Robert De Niro underwent complete transformations for his films,he drove a cab for Taxi Driver, put his body through hell in Raging Bull by training and boxing and buffing up for the young La Motta and putting on 60 pounds for the old La Motta,he ground his teeth for Cape Fear,ANYWAY I have so many more reasons why De Niro is the greatest.I dont feel like typing anymore

  • This is like comparing apples to oranges. They're VERY different. But I don't think even Jack Nicholson(who is one of the greatest of all time) can compare to De Niro's work,I mean Taxi Driver(best character study and film from a 1st person view),RAGING BULL(can be called the greatest movie ever next to Godfather),Goodfellas(best gangster movie ever),Deer Hunter(amazing performance),Godfather II,Mean Streets,Cape Fear,Heat,Casino,Bronx Tale,Untouchables,Awakenings,King of Comedy...so versatile

  • whats the point of this video? you can't judge who's better. They play different roles.

  • Robert De Niro all down the line!

  • I vote for Jack!

  • De Niro

  • those 2 are my fav actors tbh, but i think jack is the best actor ever

  • both of them are different kind of actors...one is a badass motha***** gangster....the other is a psycho-maniac, crazy eyed lunatic.....

u have gotta love them both..!!!

  • I cant decide who's better

  • Jack is the best

  • robert de niro the best!!!!

  • Jack is remarkable...

  • both are

  • Robert De Niro 4 ever

  • robert the best if you siad Nicholson has 3 oscars al Pacino has 1 oscars and he better than Nicholson and also clint estwood Preference to not only award

  • they are both unique in there own way...they are equally great !!

  • @leeo21310

    i think jack nicholson i a littel better ... but i agree withu ... they r unique

  • Way too hard to decide, both are brilliant in their own ways.

  • it's difficult.i like robert de niro and i love jack nicholson.

  • I prefer De Niro but i'll agree his accent can let him down at times. But just think hes more versatile.

  • Jack Nicholson > Robert De Niro

As great as De Niro is, you can't picture De Niro playing characters like The Joker

And De Niro always has a New York accent, even when he's playing people from outside of New York, like in Men Of Honour

  • No actor EVER goes to physical transformation as DeNeiro did.

Jack's inner judge is based on his unique childhood | about schmidt |.

  • They are both very GREAT actors, if I had to choose I'd say Jack Nicholson, because De Niro is alaways playing the same kind of charachter in a way, but with JACK NICHOLSON, you don't know what to expect, he can be hilarious, he can be frightening, he can be murderous, or he can be the nicest man who ever lived.

  • Your retarded? Have you ever watched a robert de niro movie in your life before?

Godfather 2- He played a nice guy, who turned to a life of crime, he didnt start as a mobster

Ragin Bull- he played a boxer who had a anger problem

    Goodfellas- Gangster/mobster

Meet The Parents- He played a ex fbi agent who is worried for his daughter

    Stardust- he plays a pirate..?

How the fuck are they anywhere near the same? prick LOL

  • People like you make me laugh. Getting so angry. If you ever met Robert De Niro he'd think you were an asshole.

  • he was a retired c.i.a agent in meet the parents
