  • My Bella Donna, Enchanted Gypsy, Lady from the Mountain, Angel Dreamer, Heart and Lace,... Rock N Roll Ballarina!~~~~ Love U Stevie 4-Ever!!!

  • my favorite animated film of all time, Stevie singin this song made it that much more awesome, adding just the right touch of the surreal. Thank You for this post!

  • AWesome....

  • Can't believe the 30th anniversary of HEAVY METAL was just a couple of days ago. I remember being too young to get into the theatre in 1981; didn't see it in its full version until 1992!

  • @Thorion1969 saw it the same year. I was about 14 and it blew my mind.

  • @Thorion1969 I was 10 and saw it on HBO a couple of years later!!! ROCK ON!!! LOL

  • Worst song on this otherwise stellar soundtrack.

Not a bad song, but it did'nt belong with the rest of this seminal work that this collection represented.

  • @conan0869 you just dont have any musical diversity

  • "She couldn't take it Harry"

  • @Glyvxx "Hey kiss my ass will ya?". I loved this section of the movie. Like a film noir

  • This song is sexy

  • Love the song. Love the movie.

  • @WuFFYWuLF It's even better with sweet black hash.

  • don't listen to her

    listen through her

  • stevie nicks gets more fabulous each i see her

  • Where can i get this movie?!

  • @kustenkus

It's on Netflix, if you have it, and some movie rental stores might still stock it.

  • @maxman1602

    Thnx mate!

  • @kustenkus

    No problem.

  • Way back when I saw this movie in some seedy Amsterdam cinema and I went to see it because this Stevie Nicks song was in it.

I got blown away by Taarna('s silence) instead...and got me the Heavy Metal album afterwards.

Still love the movie, still love the album : )

  • Eye tried to get outta here but ALLAH-JEHOVA's Starz laughed and said "Donwstairs The Big Old House iz Mine - Have fun giving away Man-Shunz. I gave This Baron to Ewez in 1986."

  • It would be so nice if someone could make music half as good as THIS nowadays.

  • Great soundtrack and great movie.

  • Stevie Nicks is soo hot, i had a crush on her as a kid.

  • one of the best songs of the soundtrack

  • Hey, kiss My ass will ya'?

  • @manysocksonfeet

That was such a funny scene and Harry is the original Korben dallas and this movie was a big influence on Fifth Element

  • Hi'ya Harry. She couldn't take it huh?

Hey. Kiss my ass. (middle finger)

I'll do it for 20 bucks.

  • @Billinois78 That's one of My favorite parts. lol

  • gotta love stevie nicks

  • Stevie Nicks Rules.

  • indeed a masterpiece. Stevie Nicks Rules with or without Fleetwood Mac.

  • 2 people were forced to pay 1000 for a full investigation

  • harry canyon!!

  • @originalusername666

    The original Fifth Element

  • Which episode of the movie is this in? Despite watching the film God knows how many times, i have never actually heard this song for some reason.

  • Comment removed

  • @maxman1602 the first one, where the taxi driver is carrying the girl i think

  • @direwolf00 yes it is and the prostatutes were in the cop shop and he says kiss my ass and one of them says she'll do it for 20 bucks

  • @maxman1602

That leader sounded like Boris Karlof

  • @maxman1602 You've watched this film many times but can't recall this song? This should be a reminder to all just how easy it is to over look things that go on around you in every day life. Are you seeing all that can be seen? Are you hearing all that can be heard? Something to think about...

  • "What of the bird, Holiness?"

    "Kill it."

  • my favorite song on the ST too

  • awesome song !!! sonny from colombia !!!!!!!

  • The part from 3:21min to about 3:41min, starting with "And the light...", is gorgeous!

  • I saw the film when it was projected (I think it was in early 80's here in France). The animated cartoon Heavy Metal was inspired by a magazine named Metal Hurlant, a comic book, a mix of science-fiction stories and music... The sound track was very very good with such good groups like Chip Tricks, Blue Oyster Cult, Grand Funk Railroad ...

  • @paddy2411

Both Heavy Metal films represent the state of the magazine at their respective points in time. This was when it was at its height, and Heavy Metal 2000 shows how it started going downhill in the '90s.

  • @maxman1602

Ah a fan of HM magazine, did you know that magazine has influenced many movies over the years including Blade Runner to Fifth Element and now Avatar and Sucker Punch? it's true, James Cameron is a huge fan of HM magazine and this movie as he cited one of the influences was HM magazine for Avatar. You gotta admit that movie does have the feel of a big screen issue brought to life with it's story, world, creatures, half-naked alien chicks, warriors and that kind of thing.

  • Stevie Nicks was a hottie! who else saw this movie in the early 90's on TBS with Vampire Hunter D, American Pop, Robot Carnival and Rock and Rule? I DID when i was 12 about 18 years ago and they blew my mind. I bought VHD and Robot Carnival at 14 on uncut video, taped RockandRule on uncut MGM tape when i was 12 from one of my city's video stores and bought Heavy Metal when it hit video at 15 with Akira and Ghost in The Shell and bought American Pop at 17.

  • This is one of her best from the 80s. A lot of good soundtrack songs from then.

  • My favorite song in this soundtrack. The best movie soundtrack in my opinion

  • great song

  • \m/ ( . Y . ) \m/

  • hot voice, great singer

  • never herd of this movie but now i wanna see it lol

  • I was always in love with Stevie but this song with this movie melted me like butter!!! Very very very good stufff right here!!!

  • I've always loved this song...Thanks for posting!

  • Heavy Metal was a kick ass movie. Love the mag too. Blue Lamp & Gold Dust Woman are 2 of my favs.

  • @cervezadog

Most agree too! did you know both the magazine and this movie influenced Avatar and The Fifth Element? both of those movies were like HM issues and HM the movie stories brought to life. Both Luc Besson and James Cameron are major fans of the movie and magazine since it came in theaters. And do you think Neytiri of Avatar fame would have made the cover to HM magazine?

  • @Johnlindsey289 I always thought The 5th Element was kinda like HM just because of the taxi cab driver, but I have'nt seen Avatar yet.Previews looked like it was geared to much for kids, but I have heard its a good flick. Who is Luc & James? I don't keep up to much with the Hollywood shit.Lol

  • @cervezadog

Oh rent Avatar it's like Heavy Metal magazine brought to life and James Cameron (The guy who made Terminator 1 & 2, Titanic, Aliens, True Lies and The Abyss) is a major fan of HM the movie and the magazine as he used those as some of his inspirations to Avatar, it's really a more adult version of the SW prequels as it puts those except episode III to shame. Luc Besson is the guy who did Le Femme Nikita and Leon a.k.a. The Professional as he did Fifth Element.

  • @Johnlindsey289 I'll check it out

  • @cervezadog

You should also check out other cool similar cult adult animated classics like Akira, Ninja Scroll, Fantastic Planet, Lightyears (aka Gandahar), Wicked City, Ghost in The Shell, fire and ice, Wizards, Urotsukidoji Legend of the Overfiend, Meet The Feebles, Pink Floyd The Wall, Heavy Traffic, South Park The Movie, El Superbeasto, Golgo 13 The Professional, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, Princess Mononoke, Fritz the Cat, Fist of the North Star etc

  • @Johnlindsey289 Light Years and Fantastic Planet- what a trip! Lately though Animatrix has been pretty great too.

  • @tackyman2011

Seen any of the others including Akira, Wizards, Ghost in The Shell, Urotsukidoji, Beowulf, Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind (aka Warriors of the Wind), The Wall, Fire and Ice, Ninja Scroll, Felidae, Wicked City etc.?

  • @Johnlindsey289 Some great titles there, have seen most of those

  • @rgvdirt

    Which ones are your faves?

  • @Johnlindsey289

u know james cameron is remaking heave metal

he is calling it heave metal 2012

    lol just so u know

  • @invertmini303

I know him with David Fincer, Zack Snyder, Guillermo Del Toro, Rob Zombie, Gore Verbinski and Jack Black are teaming up together for a new HM animated movie. I hear it might have different animation in each segment and i think they should hire that Ninja Scroll/Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust/Animatrix/Wicked City director for an anime segment or even Katsuiro Otomo of Akira fame. Maybe hire Will Vinton for claymation and do you think Fifth Element and Avatar are similar to HM?

  • i need to get this on vinyl...love this song.

  • @bunnygal079

    which one, I have both.

  • This lady is so sexy.

Even after all these years of listening to her, i never get tired of her.

  • This is my favourite song from this album.

  • Her best ever song but you NEVER hear it!!!!

  • @2monaros

You hear a butchered version as Harry enters the police station.

  • @maxman1602 he meant in regards to other stevie nicks songs

  • @playerf

I do wish they would play it more often, or at all, on the radio.

  • Comment removed

  • 0:54- 1:00 I think it sounds so sexy the way she sings that line. It was always my favorite part in the movie when they played this song in the background when Tarna is going to that space-era redneck bar and plus that's right before the part they play my absolute favorite song, "Through being cool"- by Devo!

  • Heavy Metal was the forerunner to Metalocalypse?

  • lol?

  • Sorry I asked. I forgot I was in the land of the everlasting, world problem solving, cancer curing, intergalactic eternal all wise, all knowing geniuses. Hell, even Brian May of Queen says he has to "ask" sometimes...confer...consult..."hit the books" A lot of the great ones had to ask. But excuse me. You dont know yourselves.

  • Hey look I was just trying to help It works for me I'm not an expert

  • You're a freaking genius just for posting that! I died laughing when I read it!

  • Well, excuse the fuck out of me.

  • That's how you learn guitar you need to listen to develop your musical ear

  • Hmm, well not everyone is a prodigy. People use tabs because they find it as a source to find the sound.

  • I agree man.

  • Exactley

  • @Hellrazer12 Wouldn't a mix of both be best though.......

  • @Hellrazer12 I personally played piano/keyboard in highschool, they offered it as a course, I learned how to play that, all sheet music. When I picked up guitar a year or two later I learned it, self taught from tablature, now I play Marty Friedman , Jason Becker, and Megadeth stuff, along with Slayer and Death :P

  • Listen carefully to the song and try and find the chords for yourself

  • Harry Canyon was cooler than 007 and Deckard too

  • Anyone know the chords for guitar??? Or where I can find them?? Having no luck.

  • Fantastic FILM, UNIQUE SOUNDTRACK !!!!!!

  • Stevie is the light that shines through the shining night... some Christmas Angel.

    I think I want one.

  • could it be...because she is?

    *gaspeth*

  • Lool guess so

  • ....or maybe she "WAS".....ha ha!!!

  • Stevie has always been a fave of mine!! Will respect her until I die. She is SO awesome!!

  • i love this song!

    GOD BLESS YOU STEVIE!

  • i like this song :) i wish someone would upload the whole movie.

  • It's MY Loc-Nar, bitch! ;)

  • Fleetwood mac always has great songs

  • this is Stevie solo - fleetwood mac does have great songs

  • Den was the reason my Army buddies and I went to see the movie in the first place, after reading the entire "Neverwhere" saga in the early issues of Heavy Metal we couldn't wait to actually see it played out on screen. Den is my hero, my Avatar, searching for answers in a hostile world, but only finding more questions.

  • Awesome song, very relaxing.

  • @zeguna relaxing??

  • @DancesWithJoy all song seem relaxing when you are as high as i am.

  • Has anybody seen Den?

  • Yup, I watched the whole movie for the first time last night. Blew my friggin mind.

Why do you ask about Den?

  • The movie was life changing for me creatively, but that's just me.

  • the movie along with the soundtrack ........for me too !!!!

    UNIQUE !!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • Curse your rockin' awesome tits...

  • haha i love that south park did a homage to one of the best movies of all time

  • My favorite Stevie Nicks song and it should have been included in the Bella Donna album.

  • I agree.

The album was great to begin with, but this would have just been the icing on the cake.

  • Harry: Hey, kiss my ass! >:(

Prostitute: I'll do it for 20 bucks! :D

  • Stevie at her GREATEST in one of the strangest and best movies ever! Now where did I put that Locknar?

  • great!

  • is this one only on the HM album? can't find it anywhere else. calculus may make the world move but number theory makes it groove...mathman59

  • you can get it on the Enchanted boxset too.
