I just gotta say this; I played Morrowind years ago briefly, loved it. Played Oblivion to death, loved it. When I saw the preview and gameplay for Skyrim, I was so amped. Music for all three games was just magical to me. All different, thematic for their own stories.

But these fuckin' arrow-to-the-knee jokes are killin' it for me. I haven't played Skyrim because I feel like it's the new Call of Duty. I will someday, but ugh. Such a turn-off to the game.

When I was inside the land of Cyrodil, all of my trials and tribulations meant nothing. I wasn't lonely. I wasn't sad. I was at peace, excited, energized... happy. For once the world didn't seem like it was against me. Then I took an arrow to the knee and started playing skyrim. But in all seriousness oblivion got me through some really tough times.

from my personal experience, i know that nobody should run these games for the first time when they have problems in real life. not because its a "waste of time" but rather because these bad memories will blend forever into your gameplay. i regret that i first played skyrim when i had exams. now it always reminds me about that stressful period. i continue to play however))

'Not sure if I've said this before, but Wings of Kynareth is my favorite track of all the Elder Scrolls. I wish it had gotten some kind of update for Skyrim . . . hell, I'd start crying tears of bliss if they'd just added the old song in, unchanged. I LOVE that track.

@Taekwondolink I believe I heard an old track from Oblivion when i was in Winhelm doing the mass murdering of women quest. I could be wrong though but keep your ears open and maybe some day you will hear it. It could be an easter egg.

i actually like the wilderness better in some parts in oblivion...like the dense forests and green grass and the imperial bay and the sun glistening on Lake Rumare at sunset...it was a beautiful game...but skyrim does have its wins too

Here, here. I would just walk, simply exploring every spot of the land. That was why I liked Oblivion so much. The huge, beautiful environment, the soft music, and the fact that there were so many areas to explore (caves, ruins, inns, etc.).

Oblivion is such a beautiful game. It gives you the opportunity to play freely as you want, without getting punished. PLUS this amazing music makes you feel more relaxed while doing so. I can't wait for Skyrim's soundtrack. It's like a mix of morrowind and Oblivion, with a Nordic tone

Can't wait to go to Summerst Isle. I think with Skyrim the music wont be as tranquil and inspiring, and Summerset Isle would require more peaceful ambiences for Jeremy Soule to compose. In Skyrim I expect more of the heroic action music we heard in Oblivion, more choir and possible Viking/Celtic/Anglo Saxon folk music for country side walks, or entering towns.
