  • this speeks to me

  • good job kid rock!!! two thumbs up

  • He is very unique, so easy to listen to and identify with

  • I love this song too, and the Kid

  • Johnny Cash is awesome. He's also an original. Glad to see Kid do his thing he sounded really good.

  • To Aspiring Songwriters : Notice Mr. Cash's breakthrough storytelling lyrical moment. His writing frame of reference suddenly dollied the scene back as a director: "He looked down, his long hair". Not; 'clutched' or 'stroked' or 'pulled'. Only 3 words: 'his long hair". To my genius friend, Brian Mallen, and myself, in 1970, this observation was magical to us.

  • he better had not....

Horrible performance.....no voice, ain't got the rhythm.....buddy, do what ya can and not what ya want to.....

  • "In a time of change there comes distorted images, and uncertain values. and we all must search, we must search for what is truth"

    - Johnny Cash

  • Guess Nobama never found out what TRUTH is!

  • @RickinFLA07

    Neither did NoBush

  • @shelton705

Bush isn't the President NOW !

    Get over it.

  • Kid Rock... heh... isn't he the bull god?

  • What the Christ Fucking Hell does that shit have to do with this, aassfuckinghole?

  • Hey ya'll wat show is this off i noticed theres a few links like this one?? Kid Rock is the Rock n roll jesus!!!

  • I've new found respect for Kid Rock.

  • Not bad. Glad to see he didn't play it safe and sing one of Johnny's better know songs. That takes some balls i think

  • Hey you all! I'm from germany. I'm a fan since many years. His music gives me strengh when I needed it, and still today, many of his songs are some of the best I ever heard. Sadly most people only know his "rough/hard" titles. In my opinion one can see what a good musician he really is, when you listen to songs like this. More examples-> cold & empty or midnight train to memphis. Hearing him sing for Johnny is amazing!

  • Johnny Cash in life was the voice of the Rebels. He sang for us, and he was the only one who would fly the Rebel flag and no one would dare challenge him about it. Ever since Johnny has died I believe that Kid rock has taken over, even though he is not even a southerner. Sing on, our new man in black

  • He's Not Doing Very Good

  • He is upset about Johnny passing

  • true, i like kid rock so i think he could do a lot better then he did.

  • I like Tim Robbins as announcer of the show.

Kid Rock did pretty good, too.

  • I like the kid but he didn't do this one justice.

  • kid rocks the best he plays hip hop, country and punk rock he fucken rocks

  • he should stick to country and that stuff much better singer then rapper

  • I don't see why people hate on Kid Rock so much. He's a good singer and an excellent showman.

  • GREAT !!!

  • Johnny Cash is one of my favorite performers of all time. I was a little scared to hear this but hey, as usual, Kid Rock did it well. I've always admired Kid Rock's ability to go from one style of music fluidly into another. This adds another dimension to it for me. Thanks for posting this. I love how well this song still fits in this day and age. Perhaps they ought to do a duet with Cash and re-release it...

  • Great song, and a nice job. I wonder how many people my age (50) react to the song without knowing that is was written in about 1970.

Thank you for posting it, although I'd love to see Johnny Cash's version up.
