Nice job. ive done stop-motion legos before and was a pain. (also had a very very very crappy webcam that the pictures were like 100x100 pixels or less). For me, i used a couple strings to make the things in air, but that was a pain too, to hold up.
Considering the fact that the top of the object in the air is off camera and that you can see the shadow of his arm I am going to say he holds them there.

I can tell that there are no more then 100 pictures in this movie. I mean for a starter, than yes it is pretty good. But not that many pics. My estimate is that it took 3 hours at most, depending on his computer. My videos take about 20 hours of work due to sound, music, and my lastest video contained 875 pictures.
It wasn't horrible. If you get some better camera quality and add in sound, it would be really good. Possibly a better lego man too, cause that guy looked weird.
I know because I made a pirate lego stop motion video a while ago (didnt post on youtube) and It took me 3 hours to make it and it was only a minute long.
It seems that almost everybody in here has forgotten that YouTube can also be used for sharing something among a smaller group - yes, everyone can see it, but it isn't relevant for everybody. For instance, something stupid happening @ a party or concert may only be funny for those who were there.
