  • are these 28 people who disliked this video are working for Windows or what? just can't understand it ..

  • I want this video on my MIO 8870 phone.

  • 28 people are relatives of Bill Gates!!!

  • This video went viral on Jerusalem*

  • The best idea Apple ever made, otherwise there would be no iPod, the way we see a Mac, an iPad and very importantly for Apple, the revolutionising iPhone!

  • oh thank god this happened

  • Legend...

  • Rock Star

  • Steve Jobs...

Now that you're gone, Apple will never be the same.

You will be forever missed. It is now time for you to rest in peace.

  • It's really sad. The world has lost one of the greatest innovators. Apple products won't be the same anymore..

  • Can't imagine Apple without him!

  • watching this video now, i don't know what to say.

  • The share price was around $8 in that era, now, this year it hit the $400 a share mark. To say he turned this company around, is an understatement.

  • the cult of personality

  • Thank the tech gods this happened

  • annoying crowds they think its a rock concert or what , shut the fuck up

  • @waterskin7 This is literally what every Apple event is like.

  • OMG what is he wearing?!! Inappropriate!

  • @jktcz huh??? inapporopriate how?

  • I hate that asshole that fired Steve...that dude must be working for Bill...

  • @AppleTalker1

In fact, Steve said it was the best thing for him to happen. Without this he would not have become so good. See his university speech.

There are no up's without down's. For everyone.

  • @AppleTalker1 no "asshole" fired him. he was ousted by Apple's board of directors.

  • Under Sculley's tenure, Apple became irrelevant, just at the time(early-mid 1990's) when a computer and Internet in the home became ubiquitous must have items.

  • The return of the jedi. The ultimate revenge of the nerd. Steve changed the world when he and Woz made apple, only to be fired by the useless Scully. Just to come back ten years later and change the world even more.

  • Apple Is Past.

    Apple Is Today

    Apple Will Be The Feature

  • STEVE , WELCOME BACK!!!!!!!!!!

  • the day Steve Jobs starts firing people

  • Ah, Steve jobs. Apple really suffered without him.

  • @youwe4 thanks to steve we have the iPhone

  • No shit.

  • @youwe4 he has been suffering... even more than what Apple had.

  • @youwe4 Actually, up until the iPod really took off around 2003 or 2004 and Apple became the trendy company it is today, Apple's most profitable years were during the early 90s when they were led by John Sculley, not Steve Jobs.

  • @drygnfyre The time when Steve Jobs was gone; Apple went down, down, down in their sales pitch and had all these lines of computers, confusing their customers.

  • @youwe4 Firing him was a true mistake and the dumbest thing to do on thier end

  • Was this at the Moscone center?

  • I believe it was in Boston.

  • its a good thing he came back

  • if jobbs didnt come back id have to use a PC

  • @irulethe70s that would be the saddest shit that happened to the world

  • what its true!

  • @irulethe70s But he saved Apple only thanks to Microsoft's money ;)

  • @AinarsShlesers I wouldn't be surprised if Apple returns the favor in 5 − 10 years. :)

  • Do you mean that apple dies when jobs dies or do you mean that when jobs is working for apple apple dies?

  • When Steve Jobs dies, Apple's soul will also die.

Just look what happened during the period of time he was away from the company. Bill Gates had to toss Apple money to keep them afloat. Apple without Jobs is Microsoft without Windows.

  • Are you saying 41% of surveyed businesses planning on upgrading within the first year of Windows 7's release is poor (taking into consideration the current market conditions)? XP's adoption rate was 13%, and Vista's was (is) 9%. Even if Windows 7 is only adopted by 15% of business, that's pretty good.

BTW, what was Snow Leopard's expected adoption rate? Somewhere around .01%?

  • No where close actually, since you're comparing the adoption rate amongst upgraders. Google how many Leopard and Tiger users have upgraded instead of making things up. Windows will still be in the lead, you'll just look like less of a tool.

  • What? No. Jobs was absent from Apple from late 85 till 97. Jobs is currently still at Apple but recovering from liver transplant. He is supposed to make a public appearance before June is over.

  • was he out from apple for sometime ?

  • He was fired shortly after the introduction of the first macintosh, i won't bore you with the details but the thing is that in all that time apple ended up at the end of bancrupcy the products were terrible, then apple bought next a company steve had started and that's when he returned to the company, that's what you are seeing here.

He did have cancer but that's not the reason he was out of the company,

  • he wasn't fired he left because he didn't want to get fired

  • No he was fired by Sculley, the CEO of apple that time, following an internal power struggle between them.

After that he created his own company name NEXT which apple brought few years later only to bring him back in Apple.

  • they fired him in the 80s and then he was called back after ten years.

during his time out of apple, he founded pixar and sold it to disney. talk about making life worthwhile !!

  • @binoyrakesh He also founded NeXt Computers. Which did rather well

  • were they using PowerPoint AT that time??

  • Steve is the best FULL STOP

  • I love you Steve

  • Me too. I'm crying.

  • and then 2.5 years later, he became the CEO.

  • When you come up with the iMac, I think that's the least your company can do to thank you. ;)

  • Ten years later he surprise planet earth with the incredible and revolutionary iPhone.

  • steve doesnt have shit to do with hungry kids he isnt the one starving them

  • steve has done more for computer education that any other man, I bet that thanks to him some guy in logistics over in africa can coordinate shipments of food thanks in part that one day 30 years ago steve W and J decided a computer should be for everyone and not just big corporations.. think a little

  • what i meant with my comment was to reply this "Ten years later he surprise planet earth with the incredible and revolutionary iPhone.", i agree computers are a huge help to the world, what i replied to was that guy that said the PLANET EARTH was surprised with the incredible and revolutionary iPhone like the iPhone was any help to anything important, i love what jobs has done for helping the world with technology, but that AngelChildxxx said the world was blown away by a phone? i mean get real

  • medical reasons, some sort of hormonal problem, hes truthfully too skinny

yeah, funny huh, even when he eats he doesnt absorb it properly, god I hope hes ok

  • The Lord of the Mac, Return of the King !

  • Ad now we want a second return, in June. Healthy and energetic, with bunch of insanely great ideas!

  • I do not appreciate your comment, I really do not.

  • @MadMaxMaroc Can't imagine if Steve Jobs never leave the company for ten years, what a Mac will become in 2010.

  • more like: Microsoft is always 3 steps behind Apple...

  • why he quit?

  • The board of directors thought he was reckless, then he went off and started NEXT, he developed and designed Operating System on it, then In 1996, Apple announced that it would buy NeXT for US$429 million. The deal was finalized in late 1996, bringing Jobs back to the company he founded. He soon became Apple's interim CEO after the directors lost confidence in and ousted then-CEO Gil Amelio in a boardroom coup.

  • no more steve jobs @ macworld...

    :(

  • :'(

  • whitout him at the keynotes it's not the same :(

  • right. he deserves some rest. :)

  • nope, and I didn't say he quitted his post as CEO. what I said is, "rest from Macworld". I believe, he will comeback with his keynotes someday. who knows. :)

Phil Schiller is also a good one. but, Macworld wouldn't be as it was w/o Steve Jobs. :)

  • They took him back because they knew that he would help the company get out of bankruptcy. And he did.

  • steve jos, i love this guy, i have apple since 1984, and i never ouner a pc, and never will, because apple is 100 steep ahead microsoft

  • Apple is way a head of microsoft... Microsoft is always one step behind.

  • And many people I know say just the opposite. In fact the vast computer industry disagrees with your point of view...

  • Microsoft is about +3 years behind with the OS...

  • this video reminds me of my videos!!1 H

  • why did steve leave in 85'?

  • he got fired

  • stabbed in the back by the people he hired and the board of directors

  • Stabbed in the back? Sure, Steve was hurt by that, but from what I've heard, he didn't treat his employees well, and he has now said that being fired from Apple forced him to change his views. It was probably for the best.

  • Steve is my eternal hero....

I'm worried he looks very emaciated...

  • good thing this is 11 years old

  • who on god's green earth is that FOX introducing jobs?!?! i could eat him up with a ladle!

  • Steve Jobs brought Apple back from certain doom and made Apple very successful. He's such a driving force in Apple that I wonder what would happen to Apple when he decides to retire or otherwise has to leave Apple. I'd worry Apple would start to go downhill again. Recently I've heard that Steve Jobs' health is in question, which has made me nervous.

  • That's true. But Apple's poor management in the past after they oused Jobs.

Now when Jobs chooses to retire, he'll choose his replacements.

  • Well, if Steve left Apple, Apple should going down. When Bill Gates retires, it's the time when Microsoft ends its role to the society, and supposed to go down. same thing. it's not a tragedy. It's the way it should be.

  • I would have to kindly disagree. There are so many Apple users, and Apple makes a good product, so it would be a shame if Apple went downhill just because their CEO left. They can always find another CEO.

  • bill gates has a limited input now and microsoft are still number one. who would have the money and time to create a different operating system to compete with windows?

  • Well for one, the Linux community has the time, and they don't need the money since they're doing it in their own spare time. Linux already has a presence in the business world and is starting to make inroads on the desktop (at least, it seems to be getting more peoples' attention).

  • linux is never going to be as big, microsoft is a household name and nearly every new pc is bundled with their software-what percentage worldwide do you think uses linux?

  • Well, we should count home users and business users as 2 separate things, because Linux is more popular in the business world than for home users. For home users, probably no more than about 2% use Linux, but I know there are quite a few businesses, web servers, etc., that run Linux. IBM uses and supports Linux on their servers. With big companies like IBM behind it, Linux usage surely isn't going to shrink. And I doubt Windows/Microsoft will be on top forever.

  • rkent: compare numbers now to numbers from 2 years back. Then compare those with numbers from 5 years back. You may notice something...

  • Linux OS Ubuntu? Apple Mac OSX? They are all getting higher and higher. And Windows is just standing in one place.

  • I never really saw anything revolutionary from Microsoft.useing the Mac OSX or Ubuntu feels better then useing the Windows, for me at least. They are giving something more. Microsoft isnt trying hard enough cause the Big market share they have. They think its granted but oneday one of these OS's are going to push it down from its place.Oh and maybe they are giving out a new OS in 2 years thanks to the failer of Vista but befor that they didnt do anything for 5 years.I think you get what I mean.

  • lets hope steve doesnt leave apple for 10 years

  • no way. he is here to stay.

  • Or lose his entusiasm (has probably already happened), get tired of all the work, retire, leave, get sick, die, whatever. Steve gets old to you know.

  • if apple went down when Steve Jobs left, then i wonder what is going to happen to Microsoft when gates leaves... will Microsoft fade away and apple take the scene, or will it be Linux?

  • Microsoft has such a big marketshare and such a big presence that I think Microsoft will be just fine without Bill Gates. However, I think the disappointment in Vista and the recent attention given to Mac and Leopard has helped to shrink Microsoft's marketshare and has gotten more people to look more seriously at Mac. Linux is popular too, and I think it will continue to gain popularity as a free alternative to both platforms.

  • apple is nothing with out steve jobs.

  • And the earth is nothing without air.

  • i used to think that, but now since apple is doing a lot better all they need is some1 who has a similar way of advertising at the keynotes like jobs. Its not easy too find some1 like jobs. But apple most likely has thought of this subject already and have made plans for the time after steve jobs.

  • steve's awesome

  • didnt they kick him out but then apple sucked so bad they brought him back? anyway steve jobs is DA MAN

  • So it begins...

  • You mean "continues." This was the return after all.

  • Steve! Steve! Steve! Steve!

    lol, I'm freakin' out

  • is that guy at the beginning gil amelio?

  • No, I think the guy at the start is part of the MacWorld magazine.

  • The Lord of the Mac, Return of the King !!!

  • Steve Jobs for President!!

  • i luv it wen every 1 stops clapping and they all just randomly sit down with quietness! AT THE SAME TIME! LOL

  • that was so amazing when he came out and everyone started chantign his name he's such a tech star

  • could anyone tell me exactly what this guy have done over all these years ? Does windows exist first ? or was it mac os ?

  • Mac was first, in te time of apple introduce Mac, microsoft sell MS-DOS, Windows was after that.

  • Where was he for 12 years why did he leave the company?

  • Created another company called NEXT, in that company develop a UNIX based OS, NEXT OS, that become MAC OS X.

  • He went and founded another software company called Next which formed the basis of what would become OSX, and he bought Pixar and grew it into the most successful CGI animation company around then sold majority shares to Disney. He's a brilliant businessman who demands perfection.

  • Steve is sexy

  • I wonder what you'd think of Ballmer.

  • Comment removed

  • He is been working at NEXT - his own company after he left Apple.

  • He also founded PIXAR Entertainment the company to produce Toy Story, Bug's Life, Monsters Inc. and Ratatouille among others. PIXAR was later bought by Disney through swaping stocks, which made Jobs the biggest individual Disney shareholder. Another success that widely goes unnoticed.

  • He didn't found Pixar...he bought it from Lucasfilms and renamed it that

  • He took over the team and equipment from Lucasfilms and then founded PIXAR, true. However the business concept to produce feature length computer animated movies was his.

  • so where had he been for 12 years???

  • he starred pixar after he got fired from apple and starred another computer company called next

  • He didnt get fired, he left the company after he was stripped of all his powers.

  • Wow he hasn't changed a bit.

  • Yup hes still the same sexy guy he used to be

  • cool~ steve is my idol~

  • i love mac

  • Villa in Spain I adore you-I've waited twenty years for you...

  • Pretty historic moment - i think he didn't realize it himself at that time.

In 2007 he is the most powerfull Manager on the planet. (Fortune)

  • wonder what happened to Colin Crowfor, were is he, we need him on Macworld 2008! hes a good guy.

  • You gotta admit he's a visionary and a genius, even with all his personality flaws. Bill Gates is not.

  • Mr. Gates just does not have the experience that Mr. Jobs did, thats how Microsoft is.

  • Well, Gates started in Albequerque.

  • true legend

  • man, it's like the return of the messiah... creepy

  • for Apple, it certainly was. Look what happened to their company just 11 years later!

  • desconozco sus habilidades a la hora de programar, pero es evidente el don que tiene para saber vender y convencer. Es un excelente comercial que sabe llevar la máxima de la "innovación controlada"hasta sus últimas consecuencias.

  • abdulnafie

    dont think about that now...

hopefully he´ll get 90 years old xD

    hes godlike

  • Yes, he's an asshole. But he's OUR asshole. *grin*

  • how dull and boring would the Computer world be without apple and steve jobs

  • agree computers would still be in dos command prompt without jobs. you know, everything that microshit has is a rip off of apple.

  • I was wondering wht happens to apple after d time of steve jobs.

  • All hail STEVE!!!

  • Indeed, fucking idiots who let him go for 12 years, amazing feats from steve during the last 10 years but imagine where we would have been with him at Apple all the time. All hail Steve! ;D ... Jobs! ;D

  • its crazy how 1 man can with a company
