I don't think there is anything inherently wrong with organized religion, per se, because iin its most basic form, it is a group of people who in sharing the same dogma and principles, come together to form communities. It is only when in civilization and society, they devise agendas and assume paternal systems and hierarchies that they become dangerous. In which case, anything 'organized' is dangerous.
I think that if you organize activities that opressess others and sort actions in terms of evil or not and take advantage of peoples fears, that's when something becomes dangerous. And when you forces people to be organized!

Religion isn't evil, nor any particular segregation of it is. It's all a matter of who uses it/how it is used. If someone died in your family, and I said "hey it's all just chemicals and flesh and blah blah,etc" you wouldn't feel adequately complete and that would not help you cope. Although early church did use some Pagan symbolism to gain exceptance and understanding in the Pagan dominated societies of the day, this does not dicredit it.

If someone died in your family, and I said "hey it's all just chemicals and flesh and blah blah,etc" you wouldn't feel adequately complete and that would not help you cope. Belief, though illogical it is, is there to keep us psychologically sane. Any belief (philosophical or religious) has it's flaws and contradictions. Blame the people, not the ideas and philosophies.

I like Jordan Maxwell but he's way off the mark with Christianity. To say all it is is sun (Son) worship is silly. The resurrection and festivals may be based on astronomy but the Gospel of Jesus obviously doesn't come from any of that. It has nothing to do with paganism, earth worship, collectivism but everything to do with belief in God and individualism: inner courage, faith, truth, tolerance, dignity, humility, etc. These 'historians' and 'researchers' are a bunch of arrogant know-it-alls.

Just because sun and son are pronounced the same in English does not mean Christianety is based on sun worship. The Bible was originally written in Hebrew and Greek and was first translated to English in the 1380's. Although early church did use some Pagan symbolism to gain exceptance and understanding in the Pagan dominated societies of the day, this does not dicredit it.

Religion has been the great divider in this world. If everyone would take a hard look at the dogma that they are required to believe, maybe a new understanding would come about. I feel their is a supreme force, but I don't think any one religion owns the rights. I resent the fact that Jesus in the eyes of christians, comes with this whole crazy package that we are to buy, to be a follower. Remember folks, there was no christianity when Jesus was here. It took hundreds of years to develope.

They didnt say that there was no god. So far im on the same page as these guys. Except for the part where they seemed to have chosen that there is nothing after death. The proof i believe is credible enuf to say that there is, is that. I have seen real psycics on tv solve crimes and recreate victims exact last moments before death and how they died etc. These was true because familys and friends and police officers and lots of people were involved and the psycic only had a photo to go by.

The website claims the documenary starts out okay but then quickly devolves into making claims that Astrology is the true religion.
So we have to be careful because there's a lot of people with an agenda.
