The SV98 uses the 7.62x54R round, which is identical to the .308 (7.62x51 NATO). Bullet drop is determined by bullet weight and velocity. The M98B (.338 Lapua Magnum, not .50) has the least bullet drop and highest velocity. The suppressor increases bullet drop and decreases velocity. It doesn't directly affect damage, it just decreases range, so the maximum damage dropoff is much closer.

But dude...PTFO. You were painfully losing, your teammates would have REALLY appreciated a motion sensor.

Couple more tips: Dont run to your sniping spot while holding your rifle because your scope acts like a blinking light as you run.

Dont stand in windows, I stand against the back wall and shoot out the window from there, yeah your field of view is reduced but so is your silouette.(I always get a kill against a sniper when hes standing in a window.

The 12x scope on the m98, the elevation lines on the reticle are about 570m.

1# I saw you where using the laser when you´re sniping, My tip is to dont use it or as you did in the clip, turned it off. The only time the laser is to your advantage is when you´re short range sniping (less then 50m) otherwise it will give away your position before you can make the kill shot + that the laser DONT give you any aiming bonus when scoped.

2# When you play on servers with killcam activated, ALWAYS move after a killshot, that way you are less easy to counter snipe.

@henrikolsen2 1.the laser also blinds them at any distance, its better to have it than not, only if used effectively, its more preference than anything. I have the toggle as a mouse button so it doesnt bother me much

@Devildog0491 Yes the laser blinds them at any distance, BUT it also give them notice that they are being targeted, and if you´re the sniper you dont want them to know you have them in their sight. Its ALOT harder to snipe people running around trying to get in cover from your anticipated shot. Thats why i dont recommend to use lasers on longer distances.

@Devildog0491 It will blind people at close to medium range only, since you will have to aim much higher at long range for bullet drop.I will have to agree with henrikolsen2 on this. In my experience, a sniper dumb enough to point at me with a laser from long distance, even for a brief period, is a dead sniper. The red light is much easier to spot than manually looking for the scope glint.

@Devildog0491 When I play recon (which i do often, and im pretty good at it.) I love it when an enemy sniper uses a laser sight because it reveals their position, i can then mark them out and just shoot them based off the orange marker. At 50-150m Laser sight is pretty helpful though.

@afhdog I hadnt actually looked at it and dont know much about barrett other than the M107 and M82. I just assumed 308 because that was what sounded closest to what he metioned.

tip for you what i have noticed for working good. I use in CQB or in mid range: SKS with front grip, laser sight and holo sight. It's very effective you should try it. Drop comment what you think about it, after you have tested.
