i wouldn't say she was the most talented actress, in marnie i felt she over annunciated her words and was out acted by Connery, but she looked strangely attractive and certainly made the role her own. Her fragility really came through and it made the audience very sympathetic. funnily enough her vulnerability and looks covered up her average acting well.

@goldyn12345 Personally if I was famous I would get tired of shaking people's hands, especially since not all people have good hygiene. I think it is easy to see someone as arrogant when they are just protecting some level of privacy for their person, which she has every right to do. I found her very sweet despite the fact that many people were pulling for her attention, it must be a lot of pressure. We can't always be saints and there is no reason to demonize someone for isolated times. : )

@RiquetRudeau were you at the autographica? maybe im being a bit harsh, i also met and got an autograph from apollo 13 astronaut fred haise, he was happy to shake hands and talk!! but leslie nielsen??!! you werent even allowed to take a picture of him signing an autograph!!! thats out of order!!

@goldyn12345 dont blame her at all for not shaking hands. some peoples hygene is terrible. i remember reading ages ago that tiger woods signs autographs with his own pen for that reason. older people take longer to shake things of as well. bet the person in front of you was embarassed! lol. would liked to have seen that myself. lol.

As someone who has witnessed her self-absorbed histrionics and the way she treats people in the service industry, I find it no wonder at all why so many have given her thumbs down. She must have offended many whom she felt she had no need to please.

Thanks for the feedback sherrishera. If people don't agree with some of the comments here maybe they should comment back (as you kindly did) instead of censoring other users constructive remarks with thumbs down. Is she self-absorbed? More than Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? Lots of people in the services just kiss the floor they walk through and theyre just hateful. Tippi Hedren is an old lady so give her a break.

Perhaps you didnt witness the story from the beginning. Perhaps she was complaining about a bad service or impolite and unprofessional employees (not that uncommon unfortunately) which every citizen has the right to do. As for the thumbs down this seems more like a hate stunt from one or two youtubers than systematic and general public opinion. Look, for example, at RiquetRudeaus opinion, who met her recently. So not everyone shares a negative view of Tippi Hedren. Have a nice day

Actually, when presented with a bill for her glass of wine she got bent. I witnessed a poor bartender who had just told her how much he admired her get told off for having the audacity to charge her. It was a humiliating moment (for her). Poor guy was stunned and other customers came to his aid afterward. But, you're right. She's old and maybe she was having a lousy day. I wish I hadn't seen that. Left enough of an impression, though, for me to search youtube and leave comments...

I love tippi great video. I saw an interview with Melanie Griffin and she said Hitchcock gave her a present and when she opened it up it was a coffin and the doll inside looked like her mother. weird man he was but a genius.
