typical american moderator asking him "are you gay" because he made some photos of his favorite stars. America of course the majority of the World is gay too ;D
I used to think soccer was boring until I found out about Barcelona real Madrid man untd AC Milan and all these players skills like ronaldinho Ronaldo messi robinho David villa zidane and then watching brazil in the 07 copa America all this just caught my attention and now soccer is my passion and there isn't a day where it doesn't cross my mind and a day where I don't wanna play the game I <3 soccer(football)
Here here. All I see are comments from Europeans criticizing us for not giving their sport a chance. I don't see any of these Europeans doing the same for American sports. Our sports are ingrained in our culture just as soccer is in theirs; live and let live people.
@fosterslover I like American Football. Its just that some Americans(trying not to generalising like you did with the 'Europeans' comment) try to insult one of the most popular game in the enitre world.
@xWhocaresxX Actually american football is pretty big in the uk. I play in the british american football league, I started after i hurt myself playing rugby. But it will never be as big as soccer (football).
He forgets he's rich because he is a real guy! i love him, and i love he loves Football, we don't called Soccer, and by we, i mean THE WORLD besides US
I really don't get why americans don't like football(soccer)! It's the greatest sport in the world!!! Plus.. they got some really good players there.. I hate that the US team don't get the attention they deserve. I'm brazilian, and I was actually pissed when they won over Spain and didn't even get a front page in the newspaper! lol
@justwannahavfun19 Their NT really is amazing, I'd love to have them represent my own country. And I agree, it's weird how most of America doesn't seem to take soccer seriously, as I think there's so much about the game that they would love if they connected to it more.
@justwannahavfun19@justwannahavfun19 Their NT really is amazing, I'd love to have them represent my own country. And I agree, it's weird how most of America doesn't seem to take soccer seriously, as I think there's so much about the game that they would love if they connected to it more.
I also want to cheer, I really wish that Americans would support soccer because its a worlds popular sport. Plus if there was a much support for the national team as in other countries, we would probably be the best team in the world. Please support our national team.
@djnelly510 ehm being the best team in the world has nothing to do with support, but with talent. U can have a billion people supporting you, but if u re not good enough u re just not good enough
Well, football is not basketball... it's more unpredictable. And football is played all over the world and if football was number 1 sport in america it would still need IMO cca. 50 years to become world champion
i wish soccer was big in the united states. people in america dont understand the skill involved. americans dont like it because there isnt a lot of scoring. there isnt a lot of scoring in baseball but it is considered americas past time. GO CREW!
i'm not an american so i feel a bit out of place but also Kevin Costner is a gooner (arsenal) sylvester stallone supports everton, bryan adams likes chelski, dr dre is a liverpool fan and apparently snoop dogg, john travolta and 50 cent are footy fans too so your doing alright.
I want to cheer every time an American sings the praises of football(Soccer) I wish more would make an effort to understand the skill and entertainment value of the worlds most popular sport. Too many seem to think it is boring because it is difficult to score goals. That is what makes it so great, the team have to work hard together to achieve the amazing feeling of scoring. Great interview.
@whiteboyrapping Is the majority of Europe 3rd world? Last time I checked, many countries in Europe had higher standards of living the the USA. Also, not every country in South America and Asia is 3rd world. Even if the 3rd world countries were the reason the sport is popular, why is that a problem? Poor people produce many of the USA's best athletes, so it is the same worldwide, just the world chooses soccer, not basketball and football.
@whiteboyrapping what are you saying third world countries can't afford to play american football? Cricket, is a more expensive sport to play than american football yet its the 2nd most popular sport in the world.
@mgbgt1967 its getting bigger and bigger with the newer successes our national team has had, and I can not wait to see how the team does in 2014 if we qualify of course.
Kobe was in Italy for like 4 years as a kid so he definetely knows about soccer cus in Italia man you can't avoid it, it's everywhere. I didn't know about Spike Lee though
As Randy Lerner once said. 90% of Americans who live in Europe for any period of more than six months usually become soccer fans. In his words, all the US needs to get soccer mainstream is a reasonable level of media coverage and a 1 hour highlights broadcast on a national network each weekend.
I was at a LA Galaxy vs Chivas USA game and my uncle saw Tom Cruise up at the front office. From what I hear he is a Chivas USA fan... booooo Go Galaxy!!!!
I don't think he is. I believe he was there for his friend Beckham. When Becks was still with Real Madrid, there was at least one game where Tom Cruise was at the Bernabeu to watch a game.

ur absolutely right. I think logically it doesnt make any sense how someone can enjoy baseball and yet say, "soccer is boring"
Baseball games and even some NFL games are slow and low-scoring. It's just a lame excuse to cover up their bias.

@mgbgt1967 the only reason soccer is the most popular sport in the world is because of third world contries.
