Those are called "krotides" in Greek... they're basically small firework bombs like M80s. (One of the many illegal paraphernalia smuggled into Greek stadiums by supporters). By the way, this was arguably the most episodic game in Greek Football History, check out some of the other vids. Thanks for the comment.

@kamaki15 Are the flares and all the fireworks and smoke bombs illegal too? It seems crazy that they can do that man.  In the states theyd go apeshit over that.

Also, how on earth do you get the flares in? I assume you may have seen this, which was at St. Andrews(BCFC stadium) when we beat Aston Villa (our rivals) in the Carling Cup Quarter Final.

@SuttonBluenose2 I'll def. check out those videos. The flares aren't illegal, but throwing them on the pitch is. Of course, when that does happen (and it happens often), the supporters aren't the ones who get punished, but the team itself. Fines can range from a few thousand euros to hundreds of thousands, depending on whether the match was stopped or not. It's a shame because the flares actually do create a nice atmosphere!
