k... i'd like to set something straight here... yes, most new music that you hear on the radio is shit, but you'd be amazed how many good bands there are now. not to mention older bands that are still touring and still have a good sound. just because the media, itunes, youtube, whatever says that katy perry and justin bieber and whatever are the only new artists, doesnt mean there aren't other bands or artists that are even better but just aren't being publicized. you just have to look.

@Nancy99999 Nice try but Californication utilizes the same chords lol. You don't seem to realize that the songs are a part of a larger context within the album. This is an emotional epic that's directly after Dosed. Then a lighter mood takes over, which starts to sound almost happy in comparison.

Do yourself a favor and realize that the songs selected to be played on the radio are selected for their ability to fit in with other bands and not necessarily because they are obvious classics.
