so I've kind of lost on how to delete my gba rom from the EZ flash 3 in one. I deleted it off te micro Sd card but I think the game has been copied onto the slot 2 card itself. How do I take it out or change to a different game? If you know, then thanks!

I bought a CycloDS Evolution and a 3-in-1 based partly on the info in this review. Let me tell you, thy are AWESOME! I can't recommend them highly enough! With a 4GB micro SD card, the total cost was around US $90 for everything, and I feel like it was well worth it! It pretty much pays for itself one way or another. Of course I still say "if you like a game, you should buy it," but being able to download games to try them first has kept me from spending my cash on games that suck!
You have to pick up a mod cartridge, like an R4 clone or CycloDS (recommended), then you can pop in your EZ Flash cartridge, your R4/CycloDS/whatever cartridge, and select your ROM off of there.

Oh, NOR and SRAM? Well, NOR is memory that is rewritable, so if you're going to run a GBA game you could just have it save it to the NOR data. That way, it would still be on the 3-in-1 even after you power it off. However, you could erase it or rewrite it at any time.
SRAM just loads the game onto its temporary memory which is erased after the DS is turned off. It still saves your game saves, but the GBA ROM is cleared once you power off.
Depends on the situation. For example, if you play through a lot of different GBA ROMs, it might be best to use SRAM, because it loads games faster. Writing to NOR takes longer than SRAM.

It doesn't matter which mode you use, your saves will still be intact.
Also, there are no GBA emulators for the DS. The GBA hardware is present in the DS, so it would be impractical to emulate. Thus the 3-in-1 simply acts as a GBA cartridge.

I wouldn't count on the CycloDS being DSi compatible any time soon, but there is no basis to my statement. Nobody really knows if the CycloDS team is making or capable of making a DSi-compatible firmware. It would probably require a new flashcart designed from the ground up.
I haven't used any DSi flashcarts so I couldn't really recommend any to you. You might want to decide by watching/reading reviews on flashcartreviews{dot}com. His videos are under the YouTube name iwakura.
Hey I have a problem. Though I'm not using a CycloDS, I'm using an M3DS Real. Whenever I select the Expansion Ram, it just freezes, as well as when I select any of the rumbles. GBA roms were perfectly. Any suggestion?
hey man whats up you have the cyclo right?....so tell me the newest firmware will work for the EZ flash? at least to just play GBA games because I really could care less about the rumble or opera browser, useless features to me...I went to download the new firmware a few days ago, it said it had partial support for the EZ Flash...hopefully that specific support is for the GBA games because that is what I only care about...I'm about to get my EzFlash through the mail, so I'm a newbie

Yep. However, this method is not necessary to play classic Gameboy or Gameboy Color games. For those type of games, just use Lameboy. I have a video demonstration in my videos.

I saw a couple of versions like (EU) and there's separate ones patched for separate cartridges. How do I know which is the proper one to use? Or are all of them good?
I would recommend getting just a regular, non-patched version of the Opera Browser (any region will do, pick yours). Then, if you're using the EZ Flash 3-in-1 to serve as the additional RAM that the browser requires, patch it with the appropriate patch. I have a video on how to do this if you want to try it.
Hey guys, if anybody is interested (if you're not, please don't mark this as Spam) I'm selling my almost new DS Crimson/Black color which I bought on December but used only a few times (have WAY too many games and games systems), it includes an R4 DS and an EZ Flash V 3in1.

Um, I don't know specifically which ones work. As far as I know the CycloDS only has built-in features for the 3-in-1, but if you use homebrew ROM loaders like GBA Exploader, it will probably work.
Dunno whether if any other comments have covered this but the latest CycloDS firmware lets you boot .GBA ROMs directly from the GUI without Rudolph's Tool (But with the EZ Flash 3 in 1 inserted)

The only other chat program I use is IRC. You can go to my website (see my account channel page), make an account, and an IRC Chat menu will appear on the homepage. From there you can join the chat room which I'm frequently on.
It's not like a normal flashcart that has a memory card slot or file browser. Just think about combining the features of the Nintendo Web Browser Expansion Pak and a Rumble Pak. That's basically all it is.
Thanks for the vid. Have you been able to back up a DS card using NDS backup 3 in 1 (v.31) software with the Cyclo DS Evo/3-in-1 combo? I get as far as writing the ROM to NOR then after it asks for me to turn off the DS and start the backup tool again (so it can copy the file to the CycloDS), it doesn't continue. When I run the tool again, it starts over from scratch as if I never copied anything (says file not found.) I suspect my 3 in 1 is defective or it's a compatibility issue with the Evo.
I've never tried backing up DS carts with the 3-in-1, actually. I'm afraid I can't help with that. However I've been meaning to try it, and hopefully make a video about it.
I would have to say the EZ Flash 3-in-1 is the perfect companion to any Slot-1 flashcart. (The CycloDS Evolution happens to be wonderfully compatible with it)

1) You cannot use GBA ROMs without a Slot-2 device.
2) If the game is freezing when pressing all of those buttons simultaneously, I don't think there is a workaround for that. Most flashcarts that support in-game menus (allowing you to reset back to the flashcart menu, for example) use all ABXYLR buttons at once to activate them. This may be the case, but I could be wrong.
Generally mashing all the buttons at once isn't the greatest idea :P

Hey, I got one of those with a supercard (the supercard works fine), but when I load rudolph it give a "3in1 expansion pack not found please redo from start" error... I don't know if I did something wrong or if my 3in1 is not working :(.
Also, if I start the DS without the supercard it shows nothing in the slot 2.
I don't recommend using Rudolph's loader, as it doesn't seem to work with recent builds of the 3-in-1. Use GBA Exploader instead. It's being more updated and works with newer 3-in-1's.
Also, the DS doesn't recognize it as an official Slot-2 accessory, so don't worry. It doesn't work with commercial DS games/software either, unfortunately. Only flashcarts are capable of using its functionality.
Shit... Well it doesn't look terribly much... Eh, I guess I will buy one. The GBA expansion that came with my M3DS sucks the battery dry and I hate it. It sticks out a little bit as well. Because this has it's own battery, I'm gonna get this.
Hey, I have another question, when you save a GBA game is there an option to have it save to the slot-1 card? That's what it does with the GBA expansion I have now (which sucks the battery dry, that's why I hate it) and I don't want to have to start over again in my games. So, is there a way?

I'm not really sure how Gameshark saves work, but if it's just a modified game save of a regular game, then it might work. I honestly don't know.

Yep. However, this method is not necessary to play classic Gameboy or Gameboy Color games. For those type of games, just use Lameboy. I have a video demonstration in my videos.

There are similar products, but I'm not familiar with them.
The 3-in-1 does not require any additional media, such as a MicroSD card.

Thanks for the reply. I also have 1 more question, it's not really related to the CycloDS or EZflash, but where can I get the Opera Browser? I saw a couple of versions like (EU) and there's separate ones patched for separate cartridges. How do I know which is the proper one to use? Or are all of them good?

I would recommend getting just a regular, non-patched version of the Opera Browser (any region will do, pick yours). Then, if you're using the EZ Flash 3-in-1 to serve as the additional RAM that the browser requires, patch it with the appropriate patch. I have a video on how to do this if you want to try it.

Hey guys, if anybody is interested (if you're not, please don't mark this as Spam) I'm selling my almost new DS Crimson/Black color which I bought on December but used only a few times (have WAY too many games and games systems), it includes an R4 DS and an EZ Flash V 3in1.

My DS detects no GBA slot when 3 in 1 EZFlash V Black is plugged in. gbaexploder dosnt work but gbaxploderB works... no rumble... no expansion, just GBA. help

No the GBA roms are stored on the slot 1 card you need the slot 2 card to boot them.

duz the cyclods support nds-gba linkage with any other flash cart besides EZ flash 3 in 1...like a gba size flash cart such as
ELink Flash Card and GBA EZFlash III Devkit?
ez flash 3 in 1 is a good gba flash cart, however it only has 32 MB of nor memory, i can only store 2 roms with that......

Um, I don't know specifically which ones work. As far as I know the CycloDS only has built-in features for the 3-in-1, but if you use homebrew ROM loaders like GBA Exploader, it will probably work.

Dunno whether if any other comments have covered this but the latest CycloDS firmware lets you boot .GBA ROMs directly from the GUI without Rudolph's Tool (But with the EZ Flash 3 in 1 inserted)

Uh, well, I basically did with this video.
It's not like a normal flashcart that has a memory card slot or file browser. Just think about combining the features of the Nintendo Web Browser Expansion Pak and a Rumble Pak. That's basically all it is.

Thanks for the vid. Have you been able to back up a DS card using NDS backup 3 in 1 (v.31) software with the Cyclo DS Evo/3-in-1 combo? I get as far as writing the ROM to NOR then after it asks for me to turn off the DS and start the backup tool again (so it can copy the file to the CycloDS), it doesn't continue. When I run the tool again, it starts over from scratch as if I never copied anything (says file not found.) I suspect my 3 in 1 is defective or it's a compatibility issue with the Evo.

I've never tried backing up DS carts with the 3-in-1, actually. I'm afraid I can't help with that. However I've been meaning to try it, and hopefully make a video about it.

I would have to say the EZ Flash 3-in-1 is the perfect companion to any Slot-1 flashcart. (The CycloDS Evolution happens to be wonderfully compatible with it)

I honestly have no idea. I think the GBA game saves are copied to the MicroSD, but I could be wrong.

1) You cannot use GBA ROMs without a Slot-2 device.
2) If the game is freezing when pressing all of those buttons simultaneously, I don't think there is a workaround for that. Most flashcarts that support in-game menus (allowing you to reset back to the flashcart menu, for example) use all ABXYLR buttons at once to activate them. This may be the case, but I could be wrong.
Generally mashing all the buttons at once isn't the greatest idea :P

Hey, I got one of those with a supercard (the supercard works fine), but when I load rudolph it give a "3in1 expansion pack not found please redo from start" error... I don't know if I did something wrong or if my 3in1 is not working :(.
Also, if I start the DS without the supercard it shows nothing in the slot 2.

I don't recommend using Rudolph's loader, as it doesn't seem to work with recent builds of the 3-in-1. Use GBA Exploader instead. It's being more updated and works with newer 3-in-1's.
Also, the DS doesn't recognize it as an official Slot-2 accessory, so don't worry. It doesn't work with commercial DS games/software either, unfortunately. Only flashcarts are capable of using its functionality.

I have a question, I read in many places that it doesn't fit flush in the DS Lite and it sticks out about 1mm. Is this true?
This is a big deciding factor because I am very VERY compulsive, kind of like Monk.
